  5. Insane to rank VII that high, especially if Village is at mid tier. Village is phenomenally good.

    Also, Code Veronica is much much better than most of those. RE3 remake was a disappointing snooze.

    Tbh a list like this tells me yall probably haven’t played some of these and are just guessing.

  13. For the most part, I agree with this placements and opinions for the games I've played/ seen playthroughs of (which is pretty much all of them). The one exception is RE6. I have to admit as a RE game, it fails dramatically. But I also feel that was due to poor and misleading marketing. It would've been better received and remembered if Capcom had of just said, "Hey, we wanna make an action based RE title." The game itself is pretty good, it's just VERY long and a bit convoluted with all the storylines criss-crossing over each other. My opinion is that is should've been on the high end of okay or the low end of good.

  15. Man, RE6 is so over-hated in my opinion. I didn't play that game for the longest time because of how much I disliked RE5 already and how much everyone hated on it at the time, but when I actually did, playing it in co-op with a friend, knowing and excepting fully what it is and what it was trying to do, I honestly had a blast.
    It's not really a horror game and it's a bad Resident Evil game that doesn't deserve to be a numbered sequel but that goes for RE5 as well and arguably also goes for RE4 since that, while a great game in its own right unlike 5, was neither scary nor felt like Resident Evil at all and could have been a spin-off or even just a new IP just as much.
    But by the time they got to 6, I felt like they shed most of the baggage of the series' identity crisis and kinda just went all the way, dropping the pretense and making it purely an action game with co-op dipped in a Resident Evil themed glaze.
    And as that, it was a really fun schlock-game.

    I honestly think RE5 deserved to be bottom-ish of Okay-tier (like it's bad but I warmed up to it a bit and you can definitely have fun in it) and RE6 AT LEAST the top of Okay-tier, if not actually Good. Especially seeing how Resistance is in Good tier. RE6 can definitely compete with Resistance.
    Also, Village deserves to be in Great, in my opinion.

  16. I really don't understand the hate or dislike for resident evil 6. It's as if all the people who don't like it didn't see any trailers for it didn't see any demos for it and you see any gameplay for it, didn't play resident evil 4 or 5. And are getting mad because of what exactly. That is not 100% horror.

    Resident evil 6 has all the cliches of the resident evil franchise. And those cliches are bad dialogue that ends up being ironic or funny, a convoluted/dense plot (that can be a small scale convolution are massive wide scale which is resident evil 6). I don't understand how people can love resident evil code Veronica but take a dump all over resident evil 6. Like let's be honest resident evil 6 is actually a good game has great mechanics it's just the story is kind of weird. And the villains really got no buildup it's just a really quick version of what everybody loves which is Marvel's avengers endgame and Infinity war. Had resident evil 6 been split up into two games everybody would be praising it but since it was so rushed together the plot really didn't get enough time to sink and breathe and live with the community so that's why people crap all over it. Or it is the very basis of people being so emotionally immature that they can't realize that they're hating on something that they actually would end up liking if they took the time to actually analyze it and look at it for what it is not what they wish it was.

    And most of the time people that actually hated the loudest either haven't played it or they don't like it because it's not a horror game. But they'll still praise resident evil 4 as if it's gold. Make it make sense Jesus

  17. Let's just say this and call today horror is a very broad genre. Horror encapsulates a lot of subgenres.

    Horror does not simply mean something is scary. Things are scary are very subjective. Also there are people who can be desensitized to certain things that might be scary for the norm. But horror does not explicitly mean scary.

    Horror does have scares in it or things that can be scary or subject matter that can be horrifying. But it's not explicitly "scary things"

    So people who say bad resident evil games are bad because they're not scary or they're not survival horror like the first 3 games are simple minded. And I know simple minded can be taken as an insult but I'm not meaning it as a total insult. Instead of taking it as an insult think about what it means to be a simple minded creature. Basically your person that only thinks of things is black and white. And the things that deviate outside of black and white, confuse you or are you just refuse to understand them and if you refuse to understand it then that's an active choice. And you are actively keeping things at a very stagnant very stale very old very simple existence. Instead of letting things expand.

    The only way the franchise can grow if they take risk certain things will fail such as umbrella corp, but the franchise can only learn from failures. But if you keep things the same and only have the same story beats it gets very stale and very old quickly.

  21. An hour plus long video of Psy talking about the RE series is pretty baller 💪

    RE2 was the first game in the series that I got to play, Code Veronica was the first one I owned (and the one I managed to S-Rank after weeks of practice; beating the Tyrant Airplane fight became the most stressful part because it was right before the only time you got a save point), and RE5 on PS3 is probably the game I spent the most overall time playing.

  25. 18:10 I feel like RE3 remake wouldn't have nearly the kind of rep it has now had it at least added Mercenaries Mode. RE2 Remake put a lot of care into those extra scenarios and modes, the least 3 remake could've done was put in the mode that started with the original 3rd game.

  28. My biggest disappointment with RE2make was the gunshots didn’t change for the Custom Shotgun & Magnum.. the custom shotgun in RE2 ‘98 has one of the best BOOMS! in gaming.

    Also, was upset the custom shotgun didn’t blow 3/4 of the zombies away like in the OG. Sometimes they’d even still be walking towards you, with no head or arms.. But still, games an A- for me 🤷🏻‍♂️ 👍
