IMO DKC Tropical freeze is the best 2d platformer game ever made and it’s by far my favorite DK game
the snes version of donkey kong country 2 and 3 needs a remake also even a donkey kong 64 needs a remake like they did with super mario rpg switch and plus I want to see a new donkey kong platform game

I am extremely upset that Donkey Kong 64 never became a part of Rare Replay when a debuted on Xbox. I never finished that game, and I miss it.
Hopefully Nintendo remembers Donkey Kong Country's anniversary. We don't need a repeat of 2021 where they didn't even acknowledge the 40th anniversary of the original Donkey Kong.

I think Donkey Kong Country 3 is very underrated, I love the bartering system with the bears, hidden banana bird caves, the soundtrack on the SNES was so great it couldn’t be replicated on the GBA (which had its own unique soundtrack), and the open world to explore with the unique vehicles was awesome to explore especially when you found secret areas.
DKC1 before the new titles? That's ridicolous, DKC1 is if not top 1 at least top 2. The new ones are seriously overrated.

Thank you for including the 1994 Gameboy Donkey Kong in the list! That game is criminally underrated and a lot of fun. Of course, the levels get harder and trickier the further you progress, but once you have the right strategies and go through a lot of trial and error, you can beat the game without too much difficulty.
My number 1 favorite is Tropical Freeze as well.
I heard that there was a third Donkey Kong arcade game, but I never heard of Stanley the Exterminator. After learning about it, I can see why he is forgotten. Although, if Nintendo makes a new Super Smash Bros. game, it would be interesting if they included Stanley as one of those trophy battle items.

I'm happy to agree with your numbers 1 and 2. While getting towards the end of Tropical Freeze, I had to seriously consider if it was the best 2D platformer ever made, then thinking back pretty far, I decided that Super Mario World was still the best, but Tropical Freeze came pretty damn close!
