  1. For those curious about Shut Up and Sit Down, Quinns has suggested Blood on the Clocktower, maybe Tigris and Euphrates? Tom has suggested Oath. Not sure about Matt or Ava. Matt has said that he's played a ton of Quacks of Quedlinburg and Gloomhaven.

  2. I like games about deception like "Secret Hitler", but even more when they are actual board games like "Betrayal at House on the Hill". My favorite board game is no doubt "Nemesis".

  3. Am I imagining or there is a great correlation between nationality and the choice for best game, I'd love to see a top ten list for different countries, maybe a wise youtuber could do a video about it, or BGG could create a search criteria for this.

  4. I'm so happy Cosmic Encounter is on the list. As the game says "Game of Infinite Possibilities". The games are usually chaotic and very random because of the different alien powers.

  5. I have played terraforming Mars over a dozen times and don’t understand the love for it. It’s so messy, the game drags on and makes the idea of finishing the game ludicrously undervalued so the player who essentially puts their engine on hold to finish the game usually ends up dead last. Yeah, building the engine can be fun, but it doesn’t end the game. You can endlessly play to build your engine until you’re out of cards.

The art is mediocre and sometimes outright horrible. The player mats are outright cheap and useless in trying to keep bits and pieces organized. It feels like you’ve bought a prototype, not a finished product.
