Jujutsu Kaisen just dropped what might be the best episode of anime that we’ve gotten all year, but you wouldn’t believe the level of controversy this one episode caused in the community, as first off we were warned that this episode was going to air unfinished due to working conditions at Mappa, that not only caused a large amount of the animators to allegedly walk out, but even had some animators drawing scenes where the Mappa building is crushed by the battle between these two monsters. This took off on twitter with tons of people commenting on what might truly be the last beautiful episode of the series, while other people took to the timeline to explain why they don’t like the episode from an animation stand point, since of course the more loose style of animation used in this episode isn’t everyone’s cup of tea despite being some of MY absolute favorite. This caused large fights on the timeline like over this tweet from DaTruthDT giving his opinion on the style of animation used in the episode, and when you pair this with people already being really defensive over the animators it just caused on large storm that even STILL Wasn’t able to overshadow the actual episode itself, and I mean how could it when you have scenes like this that are just.. MAN.. You either think this looks absolutely awful or like one of the best sequences of animation ever made, so let me know what side YOU’RE on in the comments below.

The lack of detail is to show how fast paced the fight is cause if there’s to much detail the actual fight will be janky asf like dragonball
The fact people can watch well done but obviously incomplete animation and act like it is great as is baffle me. The creators themselves werent happy with it for a reason and now all the people who gloss over it will make MAPPA double down on bad working conditions and a lowered standard. It is great animation but just think what it would have looked like finished.

I’m Ngl it does look unfinished as if it were ripped straight from the story board. IMO JOGO VS SUKUNA WAS BETTER proof ? Just watch the fire arrow sent by sukuna to finish them both in both episodes and you’ll see what I mean.

I love this episode, but jogoat is just flashier
It has that Hard-To-See design on one point, but on the other side, it's kind of original to have made it sparse on details.
But deep down, making things is not easy so I have nothing much to complain about, as a viewer
that episode looks so good I love that the lower detail and more lose animation style makes the fight look better in my opinion than if they put more detail and took more time animating it as it really highlights the large scale and the fast motion battle destroying an entire city

I didn't even watch JJk but when I saw the animation where Megumi summoned Mahoraga or Sukuna clashed him I thought it was fan made because of the colouring
people who dont like that typa animation are blinds and dont have any knowledge how animation works

Anime fans or weebs or whatever they call themselves are the reason I never watched anime until I watched Aot. That scene where the big white monster walks through Sukunas domain was fucking amazing it looked so cool plus the whole fights animation was crazy. It was like they took the Aot finale animation and threw it all in one fight
Yeah this wasn't my favorite. If demon slayer continue to amaze us including this kind of animation yet we steel the detail of animation.
