2021 felt much more important honestly. I feel like it was just a huge year in terms of storylines and everything. 2022 felt like they were just passing time. Not bad but not special
Bianca Belair is the worst of 2022
A lot of Edge's WM matches haven't lived up to expectations
Nah no way anything tops wrestlemania night 1, cody returning and stone cold, ur mental for putting clash at 1
I want tussle in thr toon!
What is with everybody and saying Clash At The Castle was the best ppv of 2022 the booking of that show was atrocious Drew Mcintyre should've won
Hell in a Cell was too high IMO. Summerslam should have been above it
While the Royal rumble is regarded as one of the worst PPVs of this year. I’m still glad to I got to go.
It really was disappointing that they didn't let Drew or Sheamus pick up a win at Clash, the pop would've been insane for either men after the matches they put on, especially tight they would've given it to Drew considering what he had to go through to get his WWE Championship win in front of…..a referee and Brock, dude never got the championship pop
As far as in-ring work goes (which is the lifeblood of a PPV) when Clash at the Castle is your #1 pick you can really see how derailed WWE has been because of Vince compared to AEW's matches
i was at wm backlash right near the stage, such a good show
For me there wouldn't be a list all PPVs were crap for me even with Edge and Cody in them their matches were the only highlight for me
Survivor Series war games was the worst just terrible
McAfee was a wrestler even if it was short he wrestled in NXT
In a year or two, we're gonna see a future WWE Champion get jumped by Wolfgang, the Coffee bros, and Isla Dawn. The man will get the hell beat out of him, thrown through a table, then drug into the ring and held up by his arms.
Then Drew McIntyre will walk out, slowly head into the ring, kneel eye to eye with the champion, then turn his thumb down. Wolfgang and Mark Coffee will tighten their grip on his arms while Isla and Joe mock him. Drew claymore's the man unconscious- then they'll just stand silently in the ring.
The next week, Drew will introduce his stable to the crowd as 'Gallantry', and say he tried to be fair. He tried to be honorable. He thought if he gave respect, he would get it- but he was wrong. He was stepped on, pushed aside, and disrespected. So now is the time for punishment. Now is the time to destroy. Now is the time to take what he has earned. If the WWE won't respect Drew McIntyre, the Warrior, then they will bow to Drew McIntyre. Conqueror.
I gotta go with war games as my number 1. Triple H brought me back to wwe and it was the first ppv I’d seen in a while. Both war games matches were great everything else I could take it or leave it.
"Premium Live Events" was definitely something a marketing exec came up with…it's an awful name for the pay per views (even though they technically aren't ppv's anymore).
Clash at the Castle was something else. I hope they make more Britain PPV's because they are in 8pm in my country. The US ones are 3am. Also the event itself was pretty good besides the Drew vs Roman because Drew should have won 1 of the titles.
I agree with everything except swapping Clash and Wrestlemania day 1.
2022 was a great year for pay-per-views and the product overall.
I'm gonna miss that.
this list is mostly about how much ronda sucks
WrestleMania 38 Night 1 was Amazing. A Live Treat For Fans.
my favorite was automatically extreme rules bc my favorite wrestler bray wyatt finally returned!
Bee Yanka? Who the hell is this person?
Bray Wyatt should be released again
Someone needs to tell Adam it's called The Principality Stadium now (22:18) 😏😏😂😂
Wow, Cultaholic really likes those European shows huh 😂😂 they always over rate the PPVs/matches that are on the cards. It was so predictable that Clash at the Castle was gonna be #1
I can’t remember anything from HIAC besides Cody Seth
Every TNA bound for glory or Slammiversary ranked please
Stand and Deliver for NXT was really good
I do think there should only be one wargames match then 1 traditional 5v5 match at Survivor series because i did miss the classic Elimination match or maybe make the wargames matches elimination when everyone enters
thanks!
You really didn’t like Rondas matches this year 😂😂
I don’t understand why people like Liv Morgan so much in wrestling. She’s a tiny girly barbie doll. Why does anyone want to see her beat anyone? Dont people realise this sport is supposed to simulate an actual physical competition? At least Alexa as champion was her being a coward and cheater.
Im seeing a theme… Bad match on the card, Ronda is involved 🥱
2023 will be more entertaining once Reigns drop the titles
We all know the worst ppv of 2022 was royal rumble or chamber
Extreme rulez 2021 only had one match that had a stipulation and then the next night on raw and the smackdown after had more stipulations then extreme rulz did.
The only bad ppv I can think of is day 1 oh and Royal Rumble
Common theme in most PLE's : Rousey matches being underwhelming, lack of chemistry…etc
