  1. My mom and I moved my 28 cousin to live with us out of state. I helped him detox. It’s been a year off fentanyl!! He got his GED and is planning on starting college in fall. Very proud of him!!

  2. Isn’t this the intervention where his ex-girlfriend called? They “best friends” and the interventionist basically told her to cut the coy about their friendship and leave him alone to recover? Did they just edit that entire part out? You do that and this episode really would be 10 minutes long.

  3. adter 15 years of that life, he was so ready at his intervention. I didnt think id see he is still sober but man im happy for this guy. literally seems like a decent guy. drugs can tear anyone apart. what a shame to loose such a large part of your life to something so terrible

  4. I have heard stories of the amount of hard work that goes into the money for more drug
Truely amazing energy if it went toward a good business outcome .
I have been angry with those on hard rubbish pickup
Clockwork ,……copper wires are cut off all electrical appliances leaving them unable to be recycled.
    Now I understand 👍

  5. I wish this show existed back when my mother was still alive. She died of her alcohol addiction at the age of 42 on November 2001. She had cirrhosis of the liver. I think of her all the time when I watch Intervention.

  6. When he said he wants to be a good person. That's something he has to work at on his own everyday. No one makes the choice to be a better person, other than the person themselves. Good Luck to him and his Father, and all family member's to continue on a positive path.

  7. @A&E if you take the time to re-edit these to repost on YouTube, why not take the time to research a follow-up that’s not outdated. Especially with the addicts who passed on it feels morbid to have the last frame be he’s been sober since xyz

  8. I don’t get why they aren’t doing the current updates at the end like they used to. Eric passed away unfortunately. Relapse, while a part of recovery, can end so tragically.

  9. A&E, could you please see how you can change your recommendations that this doesnt pop up automatically for other videos of yours as a recommendation. I am a recovered addict and while I am able to enjoy intervention, I understand how triggering just coming across a video might be for people in recovery might be.
Like, one day I got recommended an episode after watching hoarders. Someone may be in recovery and enjoying your other videos and then get triggered by the recommendation. Nothing wrong with the content or channel or anything. Just a suggestion to help people recovering. It should be sought out instead of recommended because A&E isn't primarily a drug related channel and not everyone will be ok seeing the title and thumbnail. It's never triggered me personally, but it's just a thought and I understand if the channel doesn't have the authority to change that setting. But it's worth considering. ❤

  10. These parents always be so concerned about their kids being addicts… yet they are forever addicts themselves. It’s literally in their genes to be more susceptible to becoming an addict than others, BECAUSE OF THEIR PARENTS !
