The U.S. seems to have information going back some time on these balloons globally. Obviously U.S. has been quietly observing them operate for years. Makes you wonder what the U.S. really knows.

All unauthorized balloons flying in a country's airspace should be destroyed on detection. Return it to China? The gall of the demand! Did China take any country's permission before violating its airspace ?What does a nation do with spies? The answer should determine what one should do to spy balloons.
