I remembered your fishing below the dam in New London, MN. The flat water 25 yards down stream from the dam once held 1pound bluegills. Go down stream in the spring you could find good crappie fishing. Jiggin Jim Fishing guide service, Buffalo, Mn.

Still can't believe I've thrown Yellow perch out for 50 yrs and you say they are delicious. Need to try them this winter. In Maine everyone calls them trash fish. Take kids to catch them as they are plentiful and can catch one every 5 or 10 minutes. A o keeps kids busy and happy. Same with pickerel. Tongue, Salmon, brook trout are what we try to catch to eat. Thanks for opening my eyes
I am using 3mm chain between lure and coloured treble hook. Hook get lively swimming action and hooked better shy and big perch. Chain length is shorter than lure.
