  3. Cameron, dehydration while swimming is a fact big time. I discovered that when I was learning to swim 2 years ago at Stadium pool. Been learning to swim from I was 14. ROFL. Four different times throughout my life I took lessons but because I was so afraid of the water I couldn't learn. Then in Covid I see my nephew-in-law teach my grand-nephew and in one day the little 3 and half year old learn and turn around a laugh at how his grand aunt can't swim. Well my nephew-in-law and my nephew convinced me that I can learn and when we visited Treasure Beach resort they got me to start learn. I then registered with a coach at Stadium and within a month I could float and do freestyle. Then I learnt every stroke. Anyway while learning I noticed that after the 2 hour class, even though I was in water, I was so thirsty i would drink like a quart of water or coconut water on my way home. Then the next thing I realized was how high my body odour was after swimming. I told the coach and he said, "Den yuh tink yuh stop swet? Yuh ah swet even more inna di wata. That's why yuh suh thirsty." Yes man, it's a real thing. You need to hydrate plenty when you're going to swim and dive.
