  1. The battle of camperdown , well that is the interesting part , as there had been a bit of a regime change , from the dutch republic to the batavian republic and they had a bit of a replacing of the officers that where loyal to the new regime . and where they more competent sailors and officers loyal to the old republic left voluntary or forcefully . Leaving the Batavian republic navy verry undermand and with less capable officers .

Its wel worth a read on the Batavian republic as its a peace of forgotten european history .

  2. One of the most epic blunders of naval history? The loss of the flagship (Royal/ regal) Kronan (The Crown) and the subsequent defeat of the entire fleet , 01. June 1676.
Kronan rolled over by the wind with her gunports open, leading to water comming in (much like what happened to Wasa 1628) Canons and men started rolling and falling over each other. The powder magazines where ignited and the entire starboard side blew up. 800 med perished, including Admiral Lorentz Creutz.
A collective lack of competance among the officers and men is believed to be the cause of the series of mishaps leading to the loss.
The loss of all three "Regal" ships (Riksäpplet and Rikssvärdet, the apple and the sword of state) effectively put Sweden out of control of the Baltic, opening for a danish invasion of scania to reclaim the lands for the Danish.

  3. @DrClarke in regards to “teeth“ there all there (unlike mine, pulled T25 & a fore crown) & are straight enough unless you're on a 50' screen I wouldn't worry about it. Completely agree in regards to the “tum card” not being played during the war as it would ONLY open up the axis to unleash their stockpile of bio/chemical weapons on the general population of the allies. Makeup ? Hairstylist ?? In the most hetero way possible; you are a handsome young man doctor that was just mean of them I think I'll need “hair aid” before you do & being slightly younger that says a lot… the coal story 😂🤣😂🤣😂😂👍 oh lord no 🤦‍♂️😂 the Dardanelles/Gallipoli was a blender for everyone (but Mel Gibson 😉 @ArmouredCarriers) again agree but would have sent dreadnought & sisters with whatever armoured cruisers I had left to make sure they make it to the black see & return Constantinople to the Orthodox church under the Russians. In terms of propeller pitch to shp ratio it relates to my tweet Q to you @Drachinifel & Sal as to why torque isn't takin into account with marine engines as much.
