  1. I do somewhat agree that the seagulls aren't the most EPCOT for the seas pavilion. But I hope they get put somewhere else. I hate to see any animatronics go, and those have always gotten a smile out of me.

  2. I don't know about Florida, but on the note of the drone shows, Universal Hollywood has already dipped their toes into it with the Dark Arts at Hogwarts projection show. There is a small drone element in it. Personally, I do not want a drone show to come to the United States Disney parks as a replacement to fireworks because I think they are inferior to fireworks. I think it would be cool if they had a drone show in Animal Kingdom or as part of World of Color – 2 parks that simply can't do fireworks – but I would never want them to replace fireworks shows, the way that projections have at Disneyland.

  4. Time to free Memo out because in 2 years, Ron DeSantis is going to crush everything of Walt Disney World and move them to North Carolina and turn this into a bigger truck stop like you see in Iowa 80.

  5. The biggest problem with this whole World Nature "land" is pretty much the same issue this area of the park has had since inception. Where's The Land pavilion? You go over to Future World East/World Discovery and you can see all the pavilions. Stand in the right spot and you can even see Wonders of Life. Now that there's an actual theme to the west side, they need to lean into it. Give us a plaza where the entrances of The Land and The Seas face each other. In fact, give up on this whole Land travesty anyhow. You walk into that building and the first things you see are hot air balloons as you race over to the queue for a flying ride and then maybe grab a snack from SUNSHINE Seasons. Turn this into The Skies already! Update the ugly pavilion and add a climate change movie. Yeah, that probably won't go over well. A Northern Lights movie???

Then finally end our hatred of the Imagination pavilion and just turn it into the new Land pavilion. This pavilion is never going to work as its Disney's imagination being presented, not ours. (This is my problem with Disney and its OBSESSION with "imagination". That's NOT what imagination is!) All the Living with the Land stuff is on this side of the current pavilion, and behind it, so it would be super easy to just extend the "river" to a new station in a new building. Add in that Spider-Man ride since it will never make it here with Spider-Man actually in it. Have riders protect farms from plastics. Move It's Tough to Be a Bug into the theater. People still need to be traumatized by fake spiders! Better yet, just make it an infinite loop of Disney Nature movies. People need air-conditioning and/or naps! Okay, those are cheap things Disney would totally do. What Disney SHOULD do is a proper boat ride through the Rivers of the World. Put us on a river in each continent. Put us in the Amazon, on the Nile, in the Grand Canyon, on the Ganges, looking at castles along the Rhine…

I'm a bit of an Epcot purist as well. I want Future World to still be futuristic even if it's not in the name anymore. I also want my lands to be immersive. Journey of Water is a good start, now turn that attention to the two most-boring pavilions in the park AND the one that they keep screwing up. Move Figment over to World Discovery. Better yet, enough with Mickey here. This isn't his park. FIGMENT & FRIENDS! Figment is perfect for this park because it's not a Ride Our Movies park (yet). Figment isn't one of THEM. He's one of US. I'd put Figment in every country pavilion. Not in costume, which is culturally questionable, but in a souvenir tee-shirt from that country with a camera around his neck. Or maybe holding a souvenir Eiffel Tower. Or a bratwurst. He's a tourist too! (It's ironic how little imagination they have used when it comes to Figment.)

  6. The blue really pops against the khaki; with the seagulls gone, it would be cool to see the "waves" breaking over the rocks restored to their original volume. It does seem like there are a lot of callbacks to the original Epcot coming into play; it would be especially neat to see The Prologue and Promise somewhere in the new World Celebration.

  7. We were at WDW last week and on Friday there was a a Genie+ outage at 7 AM. We were heading into EPCOT and it was stressful trying to get Guardians virtual queue reservations. It all came online closer to 8 AM.

  8. I hope they clean up the inside. When I was there this past December I thought the inside was dirty, you couldn’t see inside the large tanks and you couldn’t see anything in there the windows were foggy (to say it nicely), and they didn’t have many fish, the stingrays at the touch area. It was a major disappointment how they had let that go.

  9. I have not seen that color scheme to the pavilion in a long time (since 2005).

Yes, I was alive when the original version was still in operation (The Living Seas), but I never got the chance to go there and experience the original version.

This is giving me back those original version vibes.
