  1. Haven't watched yet, but by the comments looks like there was a Joe vs Schulz debate? Well, Joe is a MUCH better podcaster than Schulz. Schulz is annoying af and I'm pretty sure he be off the adderall in a lot of episodes. Plus they are annoying with all that fake laughter and always grabbing each other and their guests too. That's why it was so great when Shane Gillis was on there and pretty much called them annoying to their faces. His cohosts are lame as hell too. Mark tries too hard to be funny when he's just not a funny guy. And Al… man, I be wanting to slap the dog shit out of Al for those outfits he be wearing. Man really thinks he's a fashion icon or something smfh.

And you can't compare their numbers too much because one is a black show and one is a white show. The white show will ALWAYS get better numbers. That doesn't make the quality of the show better though. Overall, Flagrant is well done and Schulz team works hard but it's just not for me, unless they have a guest I really wanna see.

  3. Off engagement alone we can easily tell Joe Budden’s patreon has more subs than Schultz. Joe averages about 2000likes and +-1000 comments per post, Schultz only gets an average of 150 likes and +-40 comments, he’s not even close to Joe😂

  5. I subscribe to Budden’s podcast. I’ll try to provide clarity for you.
    1. He has a membership close to Schultz, because I see tens of thousands of ‘likes’ and thousands of comments for the videos. Not on every single video, but for some of the more anticipated once, you’ll be shocked because everybody will show up and engage – like the Tyrese interview, and it’s just like ‘dang, all these ppl are here’. And remember that most people don’t comment or ‘like’ a video. I never have, tbh. Whatever the average ratio applies to YouTube’s ratio for Views vs reaction(Like, Comment etc) probably roughly applies to other platforms like Patreon, because at the end of the day it’s just about how people move.
    2. In regards to your discussion about “who can watch so many videos on Patreon every week”. I’m a subscriber because I want to support independent content creators, I might watch 1 or 2 Patreon exclusive videos every month, although he posts multiple times a week… and if you read the comment section of any Patreon, you’ll see people express support and wished they had more time to watch. It’s a little bit like having a Netflix subscription, but only watch something every now and then – but with Patreon, you also know you’re supporting independent content creators. It’s for the culture.

Also, you are a podcast that covers other podcasts, come on guys, subscribe to Joe Budden Patreon and you could’ve been the first to post his response to drake this morning on your social media platforms. You should take the lead on this, not Akademiks, your specialty is literally to cover this very topic.

  6. I have subscribed to both Patreons and flagrant puts way more effort into it. I left JBP Patreon after re-signing up for one month Becuase they put zero effort. They are giving 40percent of what they do on YT podcast.

  7. If you look at Tony Yayo and the math Hoffa interview it clearly shows why rappers don’t want to do hip hop media. All they do is bring up something that happen 20 years ago. It’s got to get old at some point

  8. Its like Tone is saying, its because Schultz is funny. Joe is pretentious. I like him. You like him, but we understand his personality. Some dont, and find him annoying. However with Schultz, hes low brow entertainment. Even if you dont find him funny, a lot of ppl still do and i can understand it.

You gotta separate your preferences from this conversation because generally audiences always lock in with something that makes them laugh. Its why Family Guy had better ratings than King Of the Hill.

  10. AJ is wild for that take. Mainly because its so many times he has even said himself he does not watch full Joe budden pod episodes. A lot of time he is just going off the clip. To see the difference between Joe and Andrew you just have to watch it. Joe is not always entertaining and he has like 5 mics in there going around. Andrew can sit beside any host and go wherever you want to go. If Joe has no clue what to say in the situation he will deflect and spin. It's only so much of that shit you can stand.

Yes Joe is good at what he does but outside of hiphop his stock is not the same.
