Until today, I have never heard of anyone who has no idea what holly berries are. There are plenty of holly bushes where I live, but we also have yew berry bushes, which are even more toxic than holly berries. So all the parents I know have to tell their kids that they're toxic. I know someone who ate a few holly berries when they were a kid and they were out for a few days because of how sick they were.
I haven't eaten raw holly berries, but I have eaten raw elderberries, and dear god I was sick as a dog for weeks

About the second story, it is very clear that she changed, either that or she wasn't her true self before the surgery.
If the OP feels like he loves the previous person, not the current one. Then it's best to confront her about it. Then give both some time to think, if she realises that her changes hurt her significant one and is willing to change back, or OP can accept her new true self, then the relationship still has hopes. If not, just end it, dragging that kind of suffocating relationship will hurt both more than a break-up.
TBH, both are bad in their own way. I know women always want to be pretty and the center of attention, but that desire should have its limit. Being the most beautiful one in her bf's eyes and being loved for who she is are not enough? If that's the case, she doesn't love her bf.
