  1. Love the buddy system. If you get a chance to answer I was curious if you can safely touch a seal while they’re in the water? They seem so playful even though I know they’re incredibly strong. I saw a short where one killed a shark. Just curious

  2. I'm always nervous someone will wrench a knee jumping down from the moving vehicle. Thankfully Naude didn't and he managed to net the big female who did not want to cooperate at all. Thank you for saving her despite her protests.

  3. Reuters news: Released a story yesterday, 1/4, about how much plastic is already in our bodies, and in our foods, including BPA and phthalates. It was quoted in Scripps News today and in Consumer Reports, and my search showed their data quoted in other resources as well. Stay informed, stay safe, read it.

Another seal released and everyone involved stays safe!!
Mama Seal was fiesty because she wanted to get away from 'being attacked" and go back to her pup in the ocean. I respect her fighting spirit very much. Gotta stay strong in this wicked world.
Love and greetings from Mairangi Bay, Auckland New Zealand! 🇳🇿 ❤ 💛 no seals live here, but they did before humans arrived 😢

  7. Hi, occasionally I see what looks like dark shapes in the sand, is that seal poo or dead seals? Are there fatalities very often and if so is it because of entrapment or natural causes? Are they removed or left? Thank you for all your work and dedication.
