  1. Probably only going to be noticed by DA players who've tried Ravenwing, but as of now, the Detachment only has "3" functional enhancements. In Company of Hunters, the enhancement "Mounted Strategist" allowed a unit to " …declare a charge in a turn in which it Advanced or Fell Back." Since the detachment rule allows for this now, it is still there in all its unchanged glory……I'm not sure how I feel about the growing number of oversights when it comes to DA. The DW Terminator Sgt losing the ability to take a powerfist or anything other than a damage "1" weapon was one thing…..but this is getting ridiculous………and we still don't have access to an army wide "jink" rule…….and the faction that had "transhuman" units last edition didn't produce one unit with it despite a large number of "terminators" having it now…….

  2. I don't think codex Space Marines needed a buff the divergent chapters don't get. Ultramarines have been outperforming divergent chapters lately. The other chapters just need a similar set of characters. I'm not too bent out of shape about it though. I'm looking forward to putting the Ravenwing boosts to the test!

  3. I just got my codex a couple weeks ago.
    Yeah they can fk right off. I’m playing my army as written in the rules at minimum a couple of games before I follow any new bs.
    Codex’s are such a scam. I wish I wasn’t a sucker for the lore and pics.

  4. GSC Xenocreed detachments could get so filthy.

    6×5 flamer/demo charge acolytes
    6×5 auto pistol mining tool acolytes
    3×5 Metamorphs with an iconward each for a 4+ FNP while the iconward gets his own FNP 3+ thanks to the detachment
    They all get rerolls to advance and charge with the detachment.
    Give the Iconward the deeds enhancement and thats 12 respawn points which means 6 out of those 15 squads come back upon death no questions.

    And you get 775pts to throw in whatever else you want as well.

    I don't have the wallet for it nor do i want to play a list like that but i think acolyte meta is inbound for tournaments.

  5. Finally someone has listened to my incessant grognardy moaning about how bolters used to actually do more than tickle people back in the day.

    On the other hand, is it too much to ask that Dark Angels get all the stuff, and codex chapters get nothing?

  6. Imperial knights should be removed as a faction and rules for ally faction to bring a massive knight in to any marine army. Chorfs are a meme they could be removed too. They arent wh40k anyway. They feel like a grimdank chonky necromunda or something.

  7. Special shoutout to the "Shortened Blade" stratagem in Retaliation Cadre. GW made it useless in 90% of time due to 6" deepstrike change. You dont get the additional 1AP and it still costs 2CP.

    Writing this just when eldar detachment dropped, they get the same stratagem for 1 cp and actually better bc it gives deepstrike to vehicles that dont have it πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  8. I would bet my life savings that someone pulls a win with Sisters out of their ass and GW sees it and immediately slaps them down again. Until GW can learn how to balance things and balance them on time and not going off fucking old ass info then 40k is pretty much dead, you're better off making your own rules if you play with a group of friends and not LGS or tournaments, you can't do a worse job than the literal troglodytes at GW.

    Fuck 40k I'm going back to Kill Team.

  9. Well, another edition of only painting my Sororitas, and not playing. GW, please. Either:

    A. PLEASE knock it off with this stupid, "live-service" style of constant balance tweaks. NO ONE likes this crap.

    B. Keep doing the updates. Hell, speed them up. Add goddammed ban lists for all I care, but include two different points lists and rule sets.

    Ruleset 1: For sweaty, neckbeard tournament try-hards only. This rule set includes TCG-style banlists, draconian rules lawyering language baked into the dataslates, and biweekly points adjustments.

    Ruleset 2: A full set of rules, detachments, abilities, points costs, and the works, for Open and Narrative play. This ruleset ships with the book. This ruleset is not updated. Ever.

  10. The end of the charge move meant you could overwatch with pistols which means inceptors have been nerfed when they were dropped in and then charged they could normally take out a few of a squad and survive especially as it was normally chaff at the back

  11. with the sisters nerf it seems like they just asked people playing other factions what do you feel what is op about the army. so in retro spec we should brake all army's now then that will make them even.

  12. Why does GW nerf the same faction/units 5 different times at the same time. It just seems so overkill and unfair. You cant gauge how effective a change was because you change too many variables at once. Why is Sisters Triumph nerfed in its rules when it already got points hiked, and the army already lost over half of its regular dice generation. We only get to roll FIVE dice for rounds AND we can only lose ONE unit at a time? Thats like 60% of the dice gain from that strategy. Its just not fair when everyone else got incrased. Why nerf so much when other things got more power that already would've increased win rates. Its just so bullshit and if I ever found the person that came up with and signed off on these nerfs, I would physically harm them.
