  1. Bruh even Yugioh has a different mmr for different formats of yugioh lmao it’s not like you can just play tcg/ocg format and be the same as goats format which is older cards, and be like “okay this player is this elo here so they are this elo in this” like bruh yes it’s still the same game but difderent format which makes it completely a different game because of how it plays lol

  2. 1 year at best, and the game is dead just like OW1.
I was hoping Microsoft can fix, but they didn't dissmiss any member of the leadership. You can clearly see, they have no clue of what they are doing, and this will automaticly lead to a dead game.

I played a lot of casual games to kill the time till OW2 and 5v5 comp goes live, but I start to think, I invest my energy in another game. Maybe I finally try Valorant.

  3. I would be willing to sacrifice 1 season or a half mini season with NO COMPETITIVE and then give us a full reset. Players will play like CRAZY trying to refine their skills, get familiar with 5v5, and have something to look forward to. Then hard reset, then SOFT RESET every season. Who's with me??

  4. Every player who is against an MMR reset is just afraid that they won't be able to climb back to their previous rank. There are plenty of high ranked players who didn't earn their rank. Plenty who have used aimbots, broken patches, viewers, smurfs and other methods to get an easy way to the top, and they've only been maintaining their ranks since then. For them, a reset means having to grind those methods and the risks/costs that come with them.
An MMR reset is desperately needed, especially with the influx of new players that will come with f2p.

  5. yeah it sucks how Blizz keeps catering to the whiny fucks that obviously aren't good at the game. prime example being MERCY, what a fucking dogshit skillless hero.

  6. A reset will make ranked a really bad experience to play if you are new to ranked. If we are worried about how new players perceive the game (new game argument) then a rank reset is the last thing we want to do. I also don't agree that convincing the average consumer that this is a new game is that important of a problem. If the game is fun, people will play it, but a rank reset will make competitive very unfun for months or even seasons (I agree GM will escape the mass quickly, but the metal ranks will be a mess). The game will not feel fresh with a rank reset, you need to explain this argument more. The problem is how long it will take bronze, silver, gold, plat to get back to their ranks, Bronze for example plays a lot less then other ranks, it will take them a very long time to get back to bronze. Your arguments are a lot of ad hominem and straw mans, but the points you do make clear will be solved with a decay system, which Blizzard said we are going to get. I know this video is more for entertainment, but you keep using the words 'facts' in a way that doesn't help your argument.

  7. Apex has regular ranked resets. I think all games should honestly do this I think it’s also important to have skill based/mmr resets occasionally so good players don’t have to sweat every time they play and casuals can get experience with better players.

  8. You made a really good point about the game team not quite providing enough to make OW2 to feel like a new game. My only concern is that while it needs to feel like a new game, people will still be bringing old skills/game sense into it. I’m on the fence whether the game needs an mmm reset. I do agree that it’s probably hard to manage so many people returning to play at different times if a reset does go through. Who knows!

  9. The argument that an MMR reset will place GMs with golds is only correct for MAYBE 1 game. GM is top 1%. Every match has 10 players. From a random distribution standpoint if 10 matches of the brand new game started at the same time, there would only be 1 GM player in 1 match (90% chance a GM is not in the first match of a gold player). That GM would then rapidly place higher mmr and out of queue chance with noobs.

  10. This video TLDR, +95% of the player community should value labels over fun gameplay. And repeating that idea ten times with no further substantive justification makes it more valid.

For real, if you wanna fix the top 5% of the playerbase, then just reset everybody above 3500SR ELO back down to 3500SR ELO.

  11. New players wont even understand why they're losing. If you don't know the game how are you supposed to know if the other team is rolling you because of a skill gap and previous experience, rather than you being new to the game?

  12. I really don’t think casuals or people just coming in will care or even know anything about MMR stuff. Ultimately they won’t do it cause they want those new players to not get stomped by Diamond players when they are just learning how it works. They did say they will soft reset people to like Plat or Diamond so it helps the top of the ladder, but not effect the lower ranks, just like what they do in Valorant and League rn, then do that every season.
