  1. Superb show as always, hope all of you have an excellent new year.
Shout out to Chamonkee too who's Instagram I stumbled over last night, told him Vince and Adam couldn't have picked a better guy for visualising Space Station Zero. Can't wait to drag my wife and friends along with me for that one.

  2. I like both AoS and 40k
Got started in 40k, and AoS / Endtimes happened right as I was considering getting into Fantasy
Got the collectors editions of the rulebooks and campaign books for AoS and kept playing
    Still play 40k too

Do you guys think GW will ever fully release army rules at the start of an edition for all armies (releasing updates later during an edition solely to account for new models / units)? That way there is no weird transition period of some armies at current edition X and many at X-1.

    Edit:
Tesla-punk Cities of Death could be cool, and very unique with no WHFB parallel I am aware of

D&D, Dark Heresy, and Vampire are all fun (Feng Shui and Exalted are wild)

  3. For destruction I always thought a fae army would be very cool. Evil fairies as the elite infantry and heroes. The 5 fig elite multi kit box could be horror fairies or more standard looking fairies. Standard infantry could be redcaps but it could be hard to differentiate from grots. Witch or hag priests/mages. Kelpie or fomoroid monsters. The faction leader would be something like Leanan Sidhe a soul consuming fairy queen.

I am sure those more in tune with fae folklore would be able to add more, but I am essentially envisioning any kind of fae, pagan, Slavic folklore wrapped into one faction.

  4. Hey Vince, it's great to hear you talk about Rifts. I remember you saying the Rifts' rules are a feature, not a bug. I loved Rifts when I was younger, but now consider the rules to be a weakness of the game, with the setting being its real strength. Any chance I can get you to elaborate on your perspective on the rules?

  5. Thanks so much for the astounding shoutout on pick of the week. That was a resounding endorsement and inspires me to try even harder on the new hobby project.

Was also late on patreon for these questions.
For Vince: how can we sweeten the pot in order for you to attend a northeast US event? Nova doesn't count.
For Tom and Tyler: Do you think there is too much battleline in AoS overall?

  6. Thank you guys for another year of shows! the highlight of my thursdays 🙂
I'd love to see a show like the psychographic profile one but with mtg colors. Like you guys just putting all the armies into the different colors.

  7. This is my new favourite video, while enjoying this I've made loads of great progress on my new Runeson on Magmadroth! Please keep peppering the vids with helpful painting tips!

  8. Elementals! Let's work smarter. Endless spells are now sentient. They've kicked around too long. They are elements. Kill generic endless spells, turn them into different heroes and elites in the elemental book. Release some troops and done. Hell, they can just be magic walls in some cases. Reuse the design work. Rework the sprues as needed. Throw the new battle line in with the old endless spell box and you have your vanguard box

  10. Woooohooo!! My question made it! Hehe and the answer of Settra being very happily agreed apon aswell as Vlad and Isabella certainly didn't disappoint. 😛

Thank you for another fantastic year of shows and content, wishing all of you and your families a happy new year. Next year is certainly going to be an exciting one in the world of AoS. 🙂

  11. From that argument you made about how bad points would be for artefacts in AoS, do you think that's contributing to the balance problems in 40k, since lots of the load outs for generic units also cost points?

  12. Rifts was my second RPG after DND and I collected the splat books after finding my uncle's copies during a family visit. Dogboys, crazies, juicers, all the cyborgs, great stuff. Do you play the old rules or the new Savage worlds system? Favorite RCC/OCC?

  13. @58:47 AOS Skirmish was an excellent way to introduce new players to AOS (when it was up to date, it was how I taught everyone to play AOS), every aspect of the greater game was in there, set on a scale most everyone could manage (book keeping wise), it allowed for a lot of reps (to teach the blocking and tackling) and the highest quality of games (12 to 15 painted models, a Battlezone board pack, and enough painted terrain to fill it, is a reasonable scale for most to acquire), once a new player was comfortable and confident playing AOS Skirmish, playing AOS was a matter of saying some of these guys are now units, point levels are higher, and here's some bolt-ons for choosing a faction. It was the same game, on a larger scale.

When you think about all the possibilities AOS skirmish offers, playing by the AOS rules, encompassing ever model and terrain piece in the AOS range including underworlds and warcry that has a warscroll (as themselves or as proxies), campaigns, path to glory concepts, narrative play, ease of collecting and hobbying on a manageable scale for most, and that GW doesn't even acknowledge it's existence anymore, is strange to me, at this point I'd accept another White Dwarf update.

  14. On the previewed models: I think the last two, rather than being Khorne and Slaanesh's Battletome hero releases, might be models for Warcry's next release. The "Slaanesh hero" looks a bit vampirey to me – bare arms, flared shoulders, popped collar (think Anasta Malkorion or Prince Duvalle, to a degree), and a little bone shaped pin for his hair. Plus the ring on his back – while being very Slaaneshi – has what looks like a skull at its apex and broken "tusk" looking bits (vaguely like Gorath the Enforcer).

Add to this that the next Warcry set (which should be coming Q1) is called Bloodhunt, and the Heart of Ghur map of the Gnarlwood has a marker for Count Moltaire's Bloodhunt close to the Khornate Bloodmad Ravage, and… yeah. Ghur Vampire?

  15. Thanks again for the "advice" for my son. He's at his mom's this week, so I sent him the video and his reply was "lol. That's cool. Guess I HAVE to wear an apron now."
    So… it was effective!
