  1. ► Correction: Yes, you can remove your creations. React to a generation with "❌" emoji on Discord to cancel or delete it at any time. It is also removed from the web gallery.

  2. almost 100% but we are still a way from that, for general art mainly for smaller indie stuff I do feel it might be closer than we think maybe 10 – 20 years, but for it to fully take over we are looking probably 25 years tops I feel the rate we learn this could be over in 10 years.

The thing is though if you think this will completely make artists irrelevant you're probably overreacting, it doesn't really seem to go super specific you'll never get the standard of just sitting down with someone and explaining to them what you want, so when it comes to artists such as environments, concept artists, tattoos designers, and most artists to do with gaming and other mediums like movies or graphic design those artist will still be needed because you'll never be able to get that specific or consistent with an ai, but for simple commissions, i feel unless your art style is super stylized i think you're probably screwed the ai is fast and is free, unless you're designing several things that are the same lets say 5 characters for dnd or something i think the ai is better.

On the upside the ai learns from art based on the keywords so don't worry artists will always be needed don't give up simply because an ai will do it later.

  3. As an artist it feels like somebody hurt our pride. But thinking for the others, who are not artists, but have good ideas, their time has come. Imagine how many people were dreaming of making a comic or manga for their story, but they could not do the art – they can now start. I used the app and have to say, it is still lacking a few things, because so many things are randomly put. AI also does not develop a unique style, like an artist has. So I think it will not replace all artists, but some will definately have a hard time now. That's probably how a lot of jobs felt when industrialization took off. In the end, most people probably benefit from it.

  4. I'm not an artist, but I don't think people should be afraid. AI has amazing art, but it doesn't have it's own style. On DeviantArt, you can find artists with their own unique style. A good friend of mine turned one of my fan fictions into an entire manga in his beautiful and amazing style. I highly doubt AI can copy ChumpChangeDraws style. At the very least, I want to believe that. I want to believe that not even AI can copy my friend's or my other favorite artists' styles

  5. A artist can draw or paint anything and work in a wide range of media as will as use imagination or even work from a picture this computer can't do that.Albert Einstein is more important than knowledge.

  6. This is just another tool in your tool belt (if you're a artist). Learn to use it and enjoy it.. it gives inspiration to create more, but it will never replace artists.. that's a Elon musk bs about cyborgs..

  7. As someone who loves art I have to say that prompts are one thing, but heart and skill are something else completely.
He gave a great example, great device to help with identifying criminals if you were a witness, maybe in architecture.
Art however comes from more than just a prompt. This is the self checkout of art industry.
Screw art directors and illustrators/graphic designers. client can type a prompt himself without relying on the above, churning out 800 images a day of what they need.
More unemployment. Thanks a lot you bastards.

  8. If you're willing to pay more, you can take the output from Midjourney and use DALL-E and erase the bad parts of the Midjourney output and paint more image outside the original edge of the Midjourney output. DALL-E costs about $0.1 per generated image so it may get pretty expensive fast.
