Welcome to the Empire At War mega-campaign, where with the help of a load of mods, we’re going to play through the whole Star Wars saga, from the Clone Wars to the New Republic.
We begin with Fall of the Republic, available from the steam workshop:

Love this series
I miss j’zirr :/ but I like this too.
It's so weird seeing Star Destroyers with those red markings. So anachronistic to that infamous sterile white. I'd have had them pegged for captured ISDs by the rebels, but it was probably a conscious choice to make them blend in with the rest of the Republic navy.
Once again thank you for all your incredible work, especially your episode preambles. Loads of character on top of blatantly flaunting your Star Wars savvy (lol). I do greatly look forward to your next EAW project.
I also really enjoyed Squadrons
RIP Kendal Ozzel. He was a brave and daring officer, in this timeline anyways…
@SorcererDave The capital ships turning at 90 degree angles is intended. They are doing it in order to bring all of their weapons to bear and increase accuracy somewhat by closing the distance a bit. It's a good thing, though obviously it takes maneuvering after.
That last space battle put the war in star wars. That was insane!
When you're all done with this playthrough, I'd love for you to edit your intros together into something akin to the 501st Journal from battlefront 2.
Does those early ISD have 4 ions & 4 turbos in main batteries? Looks like so from intro closeups.
Dave you MUST rush that last capital shipyard. Otherwise that massive fleet at the end won't be the last. Only once that is dealt with then you can be sure. If I was you I'd push hard towards it.
That battle was quite a slug fest but wow, didn't expect that rear attack
You have ISD hero or two as NR in TR and can capture a lot more. Snatching imperial hardware and using pure ISD fleets is most fun gimmic ever created in EaW. (until it crashes lua framework and corrupts your save that is, as it happened to my every NR campaign)
Dave went through the seven stages of grief in that last space battle of this video.
Spoiler.
Rest in peace
Tarkin, died before he could reign in Vader.
What an absolute brawl! Curious if you've officially broken the AI's back or if they have more waiting in the wings for you
I only recently bought Star Wars Squadrons. Pretty fun.
What an episode! I mean if you really are scrambling for something to do with Pelleon you could send him to take Raxus (secundus and prime) to "capture" the seperatist political HQ since that was where their senate was in canon, I know others have suggested that as well. I fully mantain that it's an optional step that's at your discrection.

Extra, extra, read alll about it! Tarkin reassigned to Coruscant and given a promotion to "Moff" after a daring, but bloody attack on powerful seperatist fleet! (read, got ganked due to the AI being surprisingly clever and having last minute reinforcements resulting in tough losses, but we have a narrative to tell dammit haha).
Squadrons' multiplayer at launch was really fun (at least the dogfighting, I never bothered with fleet battles.) But once people figured out how to abuse boosting, about the time they included the B-Wing and the TIE-Defender, the multiplayer became dogshit.
Natives: We've been saved
Empire: I would say the, more like "under new management"
20 providences. Dear god.
At least now u can look at the other commanders in Tarkin’s category before the campaign ends considering he’s been taking up that slot the whole campaign
so is your sargent called sargent Collins?
I still enjoy Squadrons, and it's one of the few games I got to play at launch. I mostly did PvE Fleet battles, which is basically dead now. The one dogfight match I did, I almost felt bad… I'm not amazing by my own reckoning, and I didn't just walk over everyone, but if I got behind them, they couldn't shake me, even going into the space station to lose me didn't work, they had to have backup and shoot me down.
These days, though, if you don't want PvP, expect to wait 30-60min in queue for one match if you don't have a full flight to play with.
In the space battle over Saleucami the ai was pretty tactical when taking out Tarkin and surrounding you. So I am wondering is the ai progressivley learning or was that just an lightbulb moment on the ai part?
In the immortal (if translated) words of Pyrrhus of Epirus: 'Another such victory and we are undone.'
Excited to see what AotR is like for you, however I do enjoy the continuing stakes of this series. The continuity does make a lot more sense as to why Palpy was able to seize power and begin construction of the Deathstar, like you mentioned. That's also what I did in my own FotR campaign.
I guess the Deathstar is where Tarkin is ultimately is gonna end up as it is. It would make sense that after a battle field defeat he would be re-tasked to over see construction of the Deathstar. He do got that administrator trait, and I'm sure the ruthlessness of such an individual would work given the Emperor and Vader over seeing construction of Deathstar mk II in RotJ.
"Again, it's like poetry. It's sort of, they rhyme. Every stanza kind of rhymes with the last one. Hopefully it'll work." As a wise man, explaining his first draft, once said.
That was cool battle! Those kind of bloody nattles are pretty fun and you can certainly afford it more than the enemy by now. Really looking forward to the final episodes and the start of awakening of the rebelion!
Oof! Man alive…that intro warned that things were going to be bad, but I was not prepared for this.
Curse you Imperial Intelligence!
Take a drink everytime Dave says dreadnought
I need this as a Playlist.
