AND reconquered the breakaway Gailic empire of Gaul in the west. A true, UNsung LEGEND.
This Leader was also killed Was there any Leader in Rome that was not Killed.
This guy died from the most random shit. From a secretary who lied about certain things…
Information truly can kill.
Aurelian's death still reminds me of Pretoria delenda est
Aurelian is one of the most underrated generals of all time which is crazy considering he's honestly in contention for the best of all time, to conquer and win the battles he did with a failed and corrupt and collapsed military like he started with is just borderline impossible for anyone else
No no no, the senate called him "Restitutor Orbis".
But the troop called him "Manu ad ferrum" "Hand at the Iron".
Restitutor Orbis Invictus
dang, the secretary had that much juice!!!
And he had no sons or children and was already in his 60s. He would have adopted someone and maybe we would have gotten another round of good emperors. Instead we go Diocletian and the tetrarchy….and multiple devastating civil wars and the christinaization of the Empire….
😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳
FULL VIDEO about my opinion who was the greatest Roman Emperor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8WgzVqtKbc
His assassination was a real shame. Same for the killing of Probus. Together, both reigns covered 11 years but probably would have been better for the citizens/subjects of the Empire if they had ruled longer.
conquered Britannia
Truly a Chad
Aurelian, the restorer of the empire! Great emperor!
He is the Sandy Koufax of emperors.
Rome always killed the people who tried to save their civilization.
palm I ra is the most american thing ive ever heard
Aurelian was the "Hold my beer – I got this"" Emperor .
