Hello all –
Here is a video about the Emergency Update for USS The Sullivans. It’s not about the ship herself – that will continue to come over the next day or two – but about the artifacts. This video will show you one of the triage compartments on Little Rock that will be used to survey the artifacts, and to make the hard choices of preservation, conservation, or unfortunately some disposition of them.
We can’t thank you enough for your support! Things are moving in the right direction very quickly, and we’ll continue to keep you updated as we can!

Are you going to have to dry dock the ship to do more permanent repairs?

I could swear I watched a time lapse video of The Sullivans coming up to about a 5 degree list and her name and starboard quarter hull number were fully visible.
Eres un ídolo mikujava.Monster siempre en mi corazón,hermosa, amors, elecciones, culturales.❤️ Son unos de los mejores conciertos.
Important part of the process.
Not in this amount but ive worn those shoes.
Im a bit rusty (25 years) but i have done this exact type of work before.
A necessary part of bringing the old girl back up to snuff.
Thanks for the update. Are there any plans to drydock the ship in the foreseeable future?
In my humble opinion…Best video to date! Love the intro, overlays, and closing music. Well done Shane! Thank you sir.
I thought she was more upright. She still taking on water?
Hang in there, she is worth the effort!
One comment, please if you have to ballast the ship use something other that water for ballast. Sand is a great ballast material and it’s much easier on the steel than lake water. Great update!
It sounds like you have a great plan for artifact conservation, thanks for keeping us updated!
Awesome work!
Those families trusted you with the personal item's Shane 😔🇺🇸
Hey Shane awesome video. Have you reached out to everyone in Jamestown or Mayville or lakewood for stuff
👍👍👍👊😎
i was talking to my sister about this issue you have with the ship and she told me that when the Texas was hauled off for repair, the refineries' around houston basically paid for the work, and sent welders and pipe fitters, electricians and others to do the work to repair her and did this at no cost to the state.
perhaps you can find some enterprising people to assist in finding companies needing a tax write off to foot the bill and get this historical ship fixed sooner than later.
i hate to think it could be put off and the ship lost due to worse supply issues
That's a lot of cleaning how long did it take to move all of that out
Great, keep up the good work.
Why the USS The Sullivan's leaked in the first place ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
This is what happens when amateurs are in charge of a historical ships "preservation".
