  1. Giada didn't die… Her ascent to angelhood released the angels from their statuesque stasis.

Also Tezzeret isn't aligned with phyrexia, he's using them and spared Elspeth's life and gave her a cryptic warning that she may be the one to start phyrexia's crumbling

  2. Great video, as always. It's just too bad and so sad to notice WotC's ever lowering standards for their storytelling in such a great story teller. All the newer Planeswalkers will never have Elspeth's amount of backstory or character development.

  3. I'm always happy to see one of your character studies and this time its on of my favorite planeswalkers, so once again thank you! Theros was kinda of a disappointment for me as while sure it was Greek themed, I had hoped the gods would be more like embodiments of the their colors. However, instead of showcasing White's collective focused or Order based faults in his villainy, Heliod is very black in motive. Not helped by the sequel's story being as you said cut, though Heliod reviving Daxos was a weird but nice surprise. Its too bad he and Elspeth never reunited. Its really fitting that Elspeth is replacing Gideon, (RIP) they're so similar, even down to having connections with Heloid and theorized be divine in nature

  4. Another beautifully summarised and narrated video. Keep up the amazing work.

I defo think she is an angel – planswalker. Correct me if I'm wrong, but we haven't got one of those yet I think…

  5. Magic has such a rich and deep history and lore. I love anything lore, and try and delve as deep as I can into it. Your videos and storytelling are such a fantastic dive. I honestly didn’t know about the more recent things about elspeth, like how halo can defeat phyrexia, and meeting wrenn, and leading the Gatewatch

  6. This was a good video.

However, there is something I would like to add. Near the end, you raised the question of whether Elspeth could banish the darkness of Phyrexia looming over the horizon. However, she also needs to banish the darkness of Phyrexia from someplace else. The biggest question for Elspeth is whether she'd be able to excise the darkness of Phyrexia from her own heart (i.e., will she ever be able to find healing from her childhood trauma)?
