Elon Musk's Starship Flight Test 3 LICENSED!

Elon Musk’s Starship Flight Test 3 LICENSED!

At its Starbase development site in Boca Chica, Texas, Elon Musk’s SpaceX successfully launched the long-awaited second orbital test of Starship, the company’s rocket designed to colonize Mars. The test took place on November 18. Likewise the rocket exploded in the sky, just like it did on its initial attempt to enter orbit in April; but, it did so without first successfully completing a hot-stage separation, which is a huge improvement. The primary objective of the test flight was to perform hot staging, which is the process by which the upper stage of the Starship detaches from its booster and ignites its own engines.

SpaceX has already begun making preparations for the third orbital test of Starship, which CEO Elon Musk has stated might take place as soon as December, provided that regulatory approval is obtained. Musk stated in a post on X on November 19 that there were three prototypes of the Starship that were in the final stages of development at Boca Chica, and that the next one for orbital testing should be ready in three to four weeks when it is ready.

Finally SpaceX gets partially licensed for IFT-3. And so, in today’s episode let’s find out when is Starship’s third integrated flight test 3. Stay tuned!

On November 24, Musk shared a photograph on his X (formerly Twitter) account that showed three black Starship prototypes standing next to each other at the Boca Chica site of SpaceX.

The procedure of regulatory approval, on the other hand, can take a lot longer. Following the failure of the first Starship test, it took SpaceX seven months to get a permission from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to launch the second test of the Starship. An investigation into a disaster that was carried out by SpaceX and supervised by the FAA in order to guarantee the safety of the next test flight was the most time-consuming aspect of the process.

The flight that took place on November 18 was declared by the FAA to be a “anomaly,” which necessitated an additional inquiry into the incident, which could take many months to complete, despite the fact that there were no reports of injuries or damage to public property. LSpaceX must also submit an application to alter its launch license in order to increase the number of flights it is permitted to conduct, as well as pass an environmental review conducted by the FAA on the third Starship test.

After the test on November 18, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) sent a statement to the Observer via email. The statement read, “The FAA will oversee the mishap investigation that SpaceX is leading to ensure that SpaceX complies with its FAA-approved mishap investigation plan and other regulatory requirements.”

Before we delve into the recent update on getting the license and FAA approval, let’s take a look back at the significant milestones achieved in the second flight test.

  1. Hopefully Mr Biden can see the incomplete writing on the wall by, uninterested in technology, teens. He should urge the prompt completion of permits to get the 3rd flight test done before Christmas.

  2. The dream that started with Kennedy's "moon" speach.

The same dream that drove 100's of thousand of people to work tirelessly on Mercury, Gemini and Apollo.

Now that dream seems rekindled at Spacex.

"Let's make America great again's" clarion call has nothing to do with trump but Elon Musk.

  3. About time you have to talk to them like they are friends and tell them off as they are not your friend and care not if China is first, tell them off and get what you want, this is life in the big city and bureaucrats only worried about feeding their faces and keeping their jobs! if they have you on hold then they keep their jobs as others believe they are working for them not for the system, to make the United States #1.
