Scientist thought that the lunar lander would sink due to dust build up for millions of years they even put sensors to detect the deep dust…it never happened….scientist do not know anything but what is proved by physical testing. You don’t need to terraform Mars in order to live on it. Humans could live indoors on Mars. You’d just have to wear a suit while outside. It’s no different than building an underwater city.

– The atmospheric pressure on Mars can not support water in a liquid state.
– In the history of our solar system Mars has not yet existed within the Sun's habitable zone.
Looking for liquid water or life on the surface of Mars is much like expecting to win a lottery without first having a ticket, in a word, stupid.
Without the conditions necessary for something to exist, that thing can not exist.

Terraforming may come one day but atm this is in the realms of science fiction, getting to the red planet is going to be difficult enough, I thought the first phase was to build artificial habitats to study mars more, out of this study will then come a plan one day to make mars more habitable for colonization, Elon and what he is doing is amazing, but I think he is setting his bar way too high 🙂
