Elon Musk lashes Apple after it 'threatened' to pull Twitter off App Store

Twitter CEO Elon Musk has hit out at tech company Apple after it allegedly “threatened” to pull the social media service from its App Store without giving an explanation.

During a series of tweets posted on Monday (local time), Musk claimed Apple had “mostly” ceased advertising on Twitter.

“Do they hate free speech in America?” Musk tweeted.

The tech billionaire also created a Twitter poll on whether Apple should “publish all censorship actions it has taken that affect its customers”.

  1. Elon Musk fake personality egoist can not dictate to Apple what they want to do… his attempt is disgraceful and bullying… we live in free democracy not under bilioner orders. !!!

  2. Turns out Elons rant about Apple was false. He tweets false and misleading information like all the other politicians. Twitter is a joke. Plus Apple is a private company that doesn’t allow porn and hate speech. If Twitter can’t meet Apple’s standards bc it eliminated its control measures, it shouldn’t expect to be on Apple.

  4. Public relations and image are very important if you are the CEO of a company that depends on sales for it to grow and succeed. That's why bezos resigned as CEO at Amazon because his public image is very negative. Amazon's and Tesla's stocks are way overvalued. They need to grow bigger faster to meet the investors' expectation or the stocks will correct itself. I see tim cook smarter than Elon because he doesn't want his company gets tangled in public relations fiasco in Twitter.

  5. I was taunting Apple so hard! I kept Tweeting them and daring them to do it! lol I wanted them to do it, because Elon was talking about making his own phone, and the people that said that they would leave Apple, made Apple turn back REAL FAST! I let them know I am ITCHING to drop them! I want a better option than Google or Apple! So far, the only option is De-Google a current Android device.

  6. Lets not forget why our founding fathers created the 1st Ammendment. Its intent was/is not to protect your feelings and the kind and routine speech of the many, but to give everyone a platform to speak and be heard, no matter how much their thoughts or ideas upset the masses by running counter to what others believe.

  9. By free speech you mean censoring of a Palestinian Twitter account with 80 000 followers.
By free speech you mean censoring black Tesla employees complaining about a culture of blatant racism.
By free speech you mean the economic support of the Xinjiang region in China supporting Muslim genocide in the region.
By free speech you mean firing the Twitter human rights team.
Dont get me wrong there is good this guys does but you can't get away from the fact that he is an apartheid profiteering billionaire with an Islamophobia agenda.
