Elon Musk just revealed Starship’s INSANE plans after 2nd Starship exploded…
SpaceX revealed Starship 2024’s plans, absolutely mind-blowing!
In 2023, SpaceX indisputably notched a string of triumphs with two fully integrated Starship launches, each carrying with it both successes and invaluable lessons for the company. These accomplishments, though they might appear as mere particles in the vast expanse of space technology, have allowed SpaceX to radiate brightly, distinguishing itself within the crowded arena of global competitors.
However, the looming question remains: What lies ahead for Starship in the upcoming year?
2024 is shaping up to be an incredibly eventful year for Starship, courtesy of SpaceX’s propensity for constant innovation. This year will hold pivotal significance, setting the groundwork for critical missions such as Artemis in the foreseeable future.
So, what’s in store for SpaceX’s agenda in 2024? How might these plans influence the trajectory of the ambitious Starship project? Tune in to today’s episode of Alpha Tech to delve into the comprehensive details!

  1. SpaceX is losing BILLIONS per year. Its never been profitable. Twitter is a dumpster fire, also losing billions. He has a huge cash flow problem financed by Tesla. But that cow is about dry. Bankrupt by 2026.

  2. I wonder why so many commenters want Space X to fail?
I want to see space travel to become commonplace in my lifetime (I'm nearly 60), and I think Space X has the best chance to make it happen.
I think that NASA's demands on what they want Space X to do, and in their timescales, are beyond cheeky.
Look at NASA's history and the cost's (and timescales) of what they spent developing their hardware, and they're unbelievable.
I'll never get into space, but I hope my grandchildren will see it as normal as hopping on a plane is today.
Speaking for myself, I say we should applaud Elon for the massive strides forward he's making toward making my dream come true.
    👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

  3. SpaceX is doing fine, the progress since Hopper has been stunning.
And we ain't seen nuthin' yet!

The proposed engine upgrades will change the paradgm. And allow bigger, heavier, faster ships.
If Elon goes for larger engines, after perfecting simplification and design concepts on the smaller Raptors, We'll see Starship super sized faster than NASA can cough up missions.
I suggest Space Force start thinking about their Moon base, Because its gonna be possible before they know it.
It might even behoove them to start funding Boring company to start getting a range of boring machine sizes, designed to operate on the Moon, So Moon base can be Sub Regolith, perhaps as a multi level array of tunnels on a hex/triangular pattern, with vertical shafts through out the array for access and surface lighting, via domed green houses.
This would allow use for cargo elevators, and circular stairways,
And some of them could be lander spots with airlocks to connect to ships.
We're gonna do this, And always pays to think ahead, and get steps when you can.
If you have the design, you could be making things now for later transport.

Tunnel liners, hatches, green house sections, stairs and elevators, other rock carving equipment, over burden conveyors, and a design for surface earth works with the tailings, and maybe some metals extraction tech for the stuff carved out. And some metals processing equipment headed for Lunar self sufficiency.
Or, you can wait, and let the Chinese get there first and maybe not be nice about landing rights.
its your movie guys… Dont be caught by surprize….

  4. NASA no longer tests rockets via rapid development trail and error simply because of bureaucracy. First off major parts of their rockets are developed via subcontractors located across the country. (Usually or at least traditionally in states where congressional support was needed). Everything needs to be tested to the extreme since changes can cause massive ripples and expense throughout the project. Since SpaceX does the vast amount of R&D and manufacturing in house, changes are able to be made easier.

The other major bureaucracy issue with NASA is public/government perception. It’s much easier for them to loose their funding via failure and public outcry. Just look at all the uneducated criticism Space X got for the 2 Starship launches ending in a safety mandated self destruction. If this happened to NASA today, vocal critics would be demanding funding be cut and money spent elsewhere without understanding or caring about what expanded spaceflight could mean for humanity. NASA has faced this criticism many times in its past and it’s basically learned that any perception of failure could mean the end of a program.

Space X has shown it’s approach can be very successful. They have developed 2 1/2 (1/2 credit for falcon heavy) rocket systems now in less time than NASA has been able to develop constellation/sls

  5. Let's remember that NASA had plenty of explosive failures on it's journey to success: the many booster explosions of Mercury and Gemini, Apollo 1, Apollo 13, Challenger, Columbia… Seems to me SpaceX has a better record.
