  1. In case anyone would like to visit (and it is well worth a visit) the planet featured during the second story (FDev Audio Developments Livestream) is body Alโ€™Ameira Dua in the system LHS 200

  2. Thanks for all the effort you put in your videos. You guys are part of the backbone of Elite's amazing community and reason why I didn't quit playing. I have high hopes for the PC transfer and Odyssey (as well as for my system being capable of playing it). I'm so glad they've returned to more Galnet, more mysteries, more things to get back to the game!

  3. I told my dad about the Thargoid anomaly he said weโ€™re doomed in a sarcastic voice. I also told my dad about the secret code that said โ€œjust because you canโ€™t see something doesnโ€™t mean itโ€™s thereโ€ and he said it reminded him of the Klingons from start trek

  4. Have been out at Oochorrs trying to get closer to the anomaly for days. The ED community is certainly resourceful. From the image hidden text to the hex and binary conversions, FDev is doing a good job of getting the ED community as involved as ever. I can't wait to see what happens next. Thanks Cmdr Buur!!

  5. I'm inclined to think that the long range visibility of the object was deliberate. Unless there were other clues to its existence before the first sighting, there really wouldn't be much point in putting it in the area in which it was first seen if it wasn't meant to be seen; they would have just created it near where they intended it to be detected. And I think that's exactly what they did, i.e. created it near the area it was intended to be found. The early wide visibility was just a way to get it noticed, and the later reduction in the visibility range was planned. Maybe the giant anomaly was a side effect of their drive kicking off, or the 'goids didn't realize it was that bright, or visible effects of a long witchspace/wormhole trip ending, or a malfunction in their drive that dumped them in realspace earlier than planned. IMO, its appearance and visibility at that original point was deliberately done.

  6. Well, well, multiple stargoids you say? I do hope the commanders who supported Salvation's material requests are pleased with themselves. Just think, if they had snubbed the guy, this probably wouldn't be happening! Whay may or may not be a good thing.

  7. I think its great as at least something is being done to create a bit more content in the game. I t seems though that an anomly at that distance would of had to of started hundreds of years ago in order for the light to now be appearing so, either it is not direct consequence of the recent bug swat gone wrong, and therefore pointing to a seperate thing altogether, or, like so many badly written hollywood scifis physics and commonsense have been put on a permenant stasis.

  8. Well done FDev. Hopefully there's a big/significant and long lived story unfolding. This is how you gain/keep/rekindle interest. You have a whole Universe of possibilities from which to pull from ๐Ÿ˜‰

  9. Somebody needs to watch the GAL MAP TRAIL created by Cmdrs FOLLOWING the Anomaly . . . We've had ppl "draw" stuff in the GalMap via their paths… Guess what we might be getting next?

  10. MUST we presume "invasion" first? MUST it be Hostile? O_O

What if it's the "Vanguard of a Science / Peace Mission" where another (docile) arm of the Thargoids (remember Oresrians vs .. what's the other called?) are heading Human-space-ward to .. Talk? Share Science / Tech? Discuss alliance to defeat the HOSTILE thargs?

Yeah, I might be called "naive", but it was trigger-happy humans who shot first — just cuz there was "something else there to shoot".~

NOBODY as yet has DECODED the TWO LINES of CODED SIGNAL in EVERY Thargoid's yellow scan beams . . .

You MUST angle your view AWAY FROM (Tharg-at-)CENTRE, in order to get the BEST "EXPANDED VIEW" of these 2 lines:

Just before a Tharg "SCANS" you (yellow light), turn your ship / view so the Tharg is at the approx "centre" of ANY QUARTER [+] of the screen. Whichever way you turn, HALF the "code" is ALWAYS toward you — if you "switch sides", the "code" ALSO mirrors (swaps/flips presentation) — and the other HALF is "on the other side" of the "centre-point" (being the projection source of that Yellow Light).

SCREEN CAP during the Tharg scan, and NOTE THE TWO ROWS of blips. Mostly yellowish, there are a couple greenish and bluish ones also (unless it's changed since last I looked).

THERE IS SOME COMMUNICATION ATTEMPT THERE…..

  15. On the topic of the Thargoids and Stargoid(s). I went back to the protus wave system and found that there is no more thargoid activity when entering orbit in normal space around the site the Proteus wave was set off. But the planet closest to it is permit locked and DOSE have activity. I used a glitch to settle into a speed far higher than all thargoids (900+M/S) and found that they eventually send waves of scouts and hydras after you. It seems their guarding it… A possible landing site?

  16. Salvation:

    Repent and believe.

    Romans 10 (KJV)

โน That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
ยนโฐ For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

    1 John

1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

    John

14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

  17. The stargoid would have probably never been found by FSS audio alone. Which means we would likely have been railroaded into this discovery in a less organic way. All of which is to say, even if it was not intended to be seen from far away, I'm glad it was.

  18. Ahh, I think us spotting the anomaly, the stargoid, the flare, was entirely an accident. It wasn't supposed to be seen until much later, but we found it extremely early, possibly only a few days or weeks after it was implemented into the game. Shows possibly how much work goes in advance into the game. Sure, sometimes things are tied up very dissatisfyingly (remember the Gnosis!), but other times, like this anomaly, are set up a while in advance. Maybe, conceptually, even, years in advance.

  19. Assuming the flare is a result of a thargoid ship (larger than an "interceptor") flying in hypercruise, Frontier could explain its unintentional luminosity as a prolonged flash after it first entered hypercruise, and it has now "cooled down" and can only be seen from a little closer now. Simple and easy, and provides a nice obvious hook for commanders to look out for in the future.

  20. I'm still clinging to the idea of that this Stargoids are motherships. Or maybe some sort of Thargoid space stations.
The "adjustment" of the flare, was maybe just the initial blast of the engines to get the mothership/station going. And now it is in cruise mode and the enginges doesn't need to fire that hard anymore.

I need top get back in ED. If it is like may idea, than it would be also awesome to see if FDev patched the Doppler effect in on those Stargoids in ED. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
