  1. Had them with a Phobos Librarian and Anvil Siege, with the +1 to wound they can threaten some tougher vehicles and monsters and the lone op + infiltration means you might not even have to move them from where you deploy them. Specially if you position something in a way that can easily fire back at whatever gets into the 12' range for shooting them.
Maybe not THE best investment, but something fun that can make use of the Anvil detachment ability.

  2. I've been dancing around with Eliminators and a Vindicare, something I want to try eventually is a Spectrus Kill Team with 2 Eliminators, 2 Suppressors, and a Incursor packed with a Phobos Librarian. Seems like a fun combo to have, just a redeploying brick of decent damage output that either can't be shot or is slightly harder to hit, plus there's always the Helix Gauntlet to add a bit more protection and worst comes to worse we have 5 spare bodies as meat shields

  3. Phobos lists unite! I'll be running 2 squads of Eliminators, one Las the other bolt. I'll be running hella Infiltrators and a small squad of Incursors. THEN I take an equal amount of Reivers to my Infiltrators.

  4. Very frustrating that GW keeps using monopole versions in box sets. I picked up the vanguard task force for the suppressors a while back – the eliminator came with only bolt sniper rifle – and no carbine for the SGT – and not even a good fit for the Las fusil bitz I picked up off ebay.

  5. I do like using these guys as a distraction team. Maybe killing characters while the rest of my army closes with. If im lucky with terrain, ill be scoring primary with them every turn they survive

  6. I'm currently running Deathwatch in the crusade being run by my wargamming club. I've got 3 teams of eliminators with Las fusils in my list to give me some much needed anti-tank fire power.

And I gotta say, I absolutely love these guys. They are able to do surprising amounts of damage to hard targets, are very cheap, and they have an extremely low threat profile. I mean, it's just three dudes. They have stealth, cover and are probably out of your range. Why would you bother focusing them when you have a 13 man kill team knocking on your door.

  7. I don't think I'd ever considered Eliminators for the infiltrate role. They are pretty fragile, and if I put too close to the center, an aggressive opponent can more easily find angles to take them out.

  8. Without special rule interactions, you can not (dis)embark out of or
Or into vehicles during the shooting phase. It only allowed normally during the movement phase as part of your movement for the turn. (Or the vehicle is destroyed)

  9. Anvil fun: 2x elims remain stationary so get +1h/w and dev Ws. Then they move to get in an impulsor which also remained stationary. Total 8 lasfusil shots with +1 h/w. Will come up 1 game in 10 but hilarious if you can pull it off 😂

  10. I find Deathwatch buffs can really make the difference with these guys, especially where Las Fusils are concerned. Your Lethal Hits round can help them punch above their weight class if you need somethin' big taken out. Sustained hits gives you a better chance at landing Devastating Wounds. Stick a couple of Bolt Snipers in a Spectrus Squad and they also get access to DW ammo Stratagems. Precision Weapons with Anti-Infantry 2+ are nothing to sniff at.

  11. I feel like the eliminators are going to be slept on in the anvil detachment. 1cp to give them reroll wounds or crit hits on 5+ with sustained 1 if they’re stationary. Rerolling could really help them punch up against vehicles, or sustained could get that one or two extra hits with precision which just might be enough to kill that character. I fully plan on taking them in my deathwatch with this detachment, I don’t really care if it’s competitive or not, it just seems like a blast to play as an unyielding gun line.
