I'm almost certain you can swap a push-rod v8 into a Tesla- thereby skipping all the yearly emissions testing (US).
DONT TELL ME TO LIKE FOOL .THEN I JUST DISLIKE
So I wonder what would happen on the Melbourne docs if one of those Tesla's went off?
My concerns of EV's:
1. Safety
2. Safety
3. Safety
4. Purchase cost
5. Drop in value once purchased
6. No benefit to the environment
It's all about scamming people
Technology is meant to make things easier ,so internet is down but i have cash, i cant activate a charger or pay for my charge with cash, but i can go into a servo fill up with petrol or diesel and pay cash. Why fix what aint broken . A side note in most cases theres no shelter for EV chargers on rainy days but filling with petrol no problem, nice and dry.
Even my smartphone doesn't last, I wouldn't be able to drive!
Have an awesome week simon
As far as I am concerned the Government is asleep at the wheel. I do not understand why I have to give my details to yet another 3rd party to charge an EV. I've quite happily used my bank card to pay for everything for years. I do not have financial information on my phone. In my opinion the most likely thing I am going to damage or lose is my 'phone so I like to keep it minimal. My choice. I think if the Government had any interest in protecting privacy it should mandate EV charging can be paid for by cards. It is one more deterrent to me for going EV.
Its all about control . Today has been designated a no drive day , so your vehicle is turned off , best wishes from Big Brother .
So you think we should let kids drive diesel mini trains instead? look up how many ICE cars burn compared to EV, last i saw it was 12X more likely in an ICE, why dont you talk about that?
Can you state how much you receive from the oil industry for the nonsense you spout?
And a faulty washing machine burnt down GrentfullTower and killed 89 people but nobody wants to ban washing machines .
EVs should only be owned by those who can support the infrastructure. Be required to prove you have a Driveway with a charging point and fire proofing. prove you have a smart phone, prove you have a bank card/credit , prove you have a registered internet link and E mail address. Then you can have a licence to buy an EV.
The money thats being wasted on these EVs could be used as incentives to get people get into smaller cars with small engines, something practical. Also funds could be used to begin civil engineering research into how to build cities that rely less on cars. Toyko, Japan might be a good case study. 80% of the people there use public transport to get to work. While 80% of Americans use cars to get to work. XD
Scrap the EVs, buy coal fired steam.
You need the “Whole Works” so the Government can track your Social Credit Score.
We all have coworkers who are EV owners: their intelligence reflects at work too
I get the EV resentment because adoption is being forced on people, and they don't actually save the environment, they cost more $, they may require a lifestyle change if you only have an EV, etc. But I don't see anything wrong with choice. Don't blame the EV's or the people who choose to buy them. Blame the politicians that want to tell you what you can or can't drive and use lies to justify their tyrannical policies.
Tesla sales slumped 44% in April? Yes weren't they telling us only a couple of weeks ago that EV sales in Australia were surging? Oh, they lied? Imagine my shock… 🙄
Electric car sales neared 14 million in 2023, 95% of which were in China, Europe and the United States
Almost 14 million new electric cars1 were registered globally in 2023, bringing their total number on the roads to 40 million, closely tracking the sales forecast from the 2023 edition of the Global EV Outlook (GEVO-2023). Electric car sales in 2023 were 3.5 million higher than in 2022, a 35% year-on-year increase. This is more than six times higher than in 2018, just 5 years earlier. In 2023, there were over 250 000 new registrations per week, which is more than the annual total in 2013, ten years earlier. Electric cars accounted for around 18% of all cars sold in 2023, up from 14% in 2022 and only 2% 5 years earlier, in 2018. These trends indicate that growth remains robust as electric car markets mature. Battery electric cars accounted for 70% of the electric car stock in 2023.
By the way: The Little Book of EV Myths is available for free! For a very interesting and really informed read!
Kia issued a recall Friday of its Telluride SUVs, warning owners of the 2020-2024 models to park outside and away from other cars and structures due to a fire risk
all the cars were electric in the LEGOLAND in northern europe back in the 70's. I didn't see one gas car in the lego city.
I'm curious. Are he price cuts enough to get under the ridiculous TAX on the Tesla cars, and does it matter since the cars are already in the country?
Sure you cant put out a EV fire, but this guy talks like ICE fires are a walk in the park.
A fuel leak after an accident can be as dangerous as an EV.
Maybe minecraft can step in to help rebuild legoland.
