im goin with the class that got the dragonhead/dragonfire ability as a starter skill

I’m going with wretch and then getting the stats to 99 as a end game plan called the MAX build. Also it’s going to be easier to keep the stats all the same with the wretch starting base. I can’t wait for it to get to me. 1 day off or so.

I am most likely going to start samurai because of his big endurance stat then choose cracked pot as my starting gift so i can craft more sleep and fire bombs.

To all those wanting to get into the Dark Souls/Bloodborne/Elden Ring style of games… You ARE going to die, and that's okay. That's part of the process of learning these games. That IS the design of the games. They are designed to be beaten by the average person, with enough perseverance. And from what I've seen, Elden Ring is the easiest to get into without sacrificing most of the difficulty.

I think I'm gonna go heavy battlemage, but I don't know if I want to focus on dex instead. Big heavy slappy weapon sounds super fun, but the attacks of some of the dex weapons are slowly winning me over

I'm going to go Prophet. Probably will end up Strength/Faith (Paladin) build, like I do with all of my first playthroughs of any Soulslike game. Confessor looks cool and I kind of prefer that it starts with a 100% physical block shield, but I've really grown to love spears in these games. I also like the Prophet's base look more than the Confessor, plus Prophet starts with an offensive Incantation (the Miracle equivalent of Elden Ring), so I really like that.
Please don't make more elden rings I like this franchise please stay away
