  1. Just seen leaked early gameplay on twitch that’s live right now and it is confirmed that equipment load is adjusted by endurance 👍 (And it’s not the CNT the person was playing)

  2. I was always going to go pure astrologer caster anyway. With endurance being tied to equip load(if it is final) it'll be just like ds1 and I'm accustomed to that. Though, as a pure sorcerer I'm a ranged attacker. I don't want to get hit often so even if strength were tied to equip load I'd only invest enough to wield a long sword or spear with a decent shield and light armor to stay true to the theme of the build. And of course my weapon would scale with intelligence so I need and intelligence weapon art. So I'm fine either way.

  3. this is honestly very disappointing, I was looking forward to my heavily armored Battlemage type character, not needing that extra investment in endurance was really going to free up some points for other stats

  4. Can someone explain this to me….I'm new to all of this.
So, equipment load is the total weight you can carry and it is tied to endurance.
But, you can carry heavier weapons based on strength.
So does a higher equipment load effect how heavy of a weapon you can carry?
Or is it simply that a certain weapon needs a minimum strength, and the higher equipment load means you can possibly carry a higher NUMBER of heavy weapons?
I'm confused lol. I guess there is a difference between "carrying" the weapon and wielding the weapon?
I guess what I mean by that last question is, if I carry a weapon that requires STR 14 and I'm at STR 13, will this effect overall equipment load? I know I won't be able to "use" it, but does it's weight change?

  5. wait what -_- strength doesn't increase equip load anymore?
goddamnit how do I cancel my preorder on PSN? ugh. I was only excited for making a STR build that was actually able to roll and move around, I'd rather get my money back and wait for a sale now.

  6. Wretch is the best first playthrough imo, any other class starts with good enough gear that when finding new armor/weapons, you might not even consider using them, making getting new stuff less exciting. With the Wretch, every new item is a upgrade, adds a lot to the adventure and gameplay.

picking any classes besides the Wretch, feels more like you are possessing someone elses body halfway though their journey, dropped into with gear and spells you have no memory of acquiring. While playing a Wretch, you are a freshly born baby and everything you get is yours.

  7. All y'all are way overthinking this for a game that isn't even out yet.

Just do whatever it takes to dress like a ninja and use katanas or kunai and have fun like a proper weeb. Or whatever you're into.

  8. The reason I was excited for the equip load change was because strength builds generally had to worry about the weight of the heavy weapon AND heavy armor, and since heavy armor usually works better with heavy weapons than quick weapons it meant less required investment on the part of the dex build. Plus there's the stamina requirements of heavy weapons and armor.

  9. While it makes more sense for strength to determine how much you can carry, putting it on Endurance seems a lot more fair for everyone so that people don't have to spend points into a Stat they're only getting the benefit of half of. With Endurance, pretty much every build gets usage out of all of it (assuming Endurance is the Stat for Stamina and such).
