  1. RE: BARBARIC ROAR

I realized what went wrong with my test. It wasn't a glitch. The Barbaric Roar activates even if you have no FP left and is still fully functional complete with combos and damage bonus. The only difference is it only lasts for 5 seconds instead of 20 seconds. So obviously during my test, I ran out of FP without realizing it at the same time I was trying to test the Barbaric Roar without the Roar medallion which led to the erroneous conclusion that the Medallion lengthened the duration of the roar.

As far as I can tell, the Roar Medallion offers no visible benefit to the Barbaric Roar either in the stats or in combat.

  2. Hey Slack. When ever I play soul games or these kind of games I die a lot and then I give up. I never finished these games ever. But now seeing you playing this game it give me motivation that I can beat this game too. Thank you for this awesome walk through. Much respect

  3. I can't believe it Slack. You are actually murdering Elden Ring with strategy. I thought these games were almost exclusively skill and reflex based and here you go proving me another level of wrong.
Allowing a complete noob to breeze through a from software game is a feat. This man is a videogame genius. Is there a game that slack can't conquer? I don't believe there is.
I always highly regarded your walkthoughs from close to 6 years following you, but this takes the cake. I can't wait to see how you deal with Margit!
Thank you for the uploads Slack 🙂
    Yours truly, a longtime fan.

  4. Wow that boss actually killed me one time before I could defeat him, you stomped him is a sick combo.

My first playthrough in each Souls game is always with the Warrior class (Or any class with the highest dexterity and my beloved scimitar), I was thinking of playing a hybrid magic character for my second playthrough, may as well play as the prisoner next. Is it true that some spells can be charged up to increase their damage?

  5. I'm so happy you're doing a walkthrough of Elden Ring. It's extremely fun to watch and even though I don't need one, actually slowing down and playing more strategically has made the game even more enjoyable than just rushing and praying my "mechanics" are enough to carry me through another soulsborne game. Hope this massive and amazing game becomes a new Skyrim for you if you know what I mean 😉

  6. When using a controller to switch to two handed you have to hold the y button then RB and LB at the same time. At least a third of the time I end up holding my shield with both hands or sheathing the sword on my back. Just not enough time for me to switch over. Used the dogs and spammed the staff and that worked. Would have preferred doing it Slack's way and practice did not go well at all.

  7. I am so excited for your walkthrough videos…. Have watched other streamers and it is painful to watch the hundreds of deaths. I love your strategic style and am hoping this game becomes your new skyrim

  8. Hey slack 😄 great work. I'm pretty sure the roar medallion enhances some (faith based) spells that you get that conjure up a dragon head which roars or breathes fire. The place you get those spells is through that cave by the vendor who sold you the shield

  9. You've never explained why you want your rune inventory emptied out before going into a boss fight. Is there a cap on how many runes you can carry or something? Otherwise it doesn't make sense to spend these before engagement with a boss except to level up enough to smoke the boss. What is your reasoning?

  10. Took me a couple tries to kill the boss again, and I did take damage, but I managed to do it! Slack, you make it look so easy haha. My own Mr. (Ms.?) Fumblefingers likes to take control against these bosses

  11. Man, I knew Souls games would be right down your alley, but I had no idea just how right that assessment was! You've turned it into an art, my jaw has stayed on the floor ever since you used the stomp as a reliable dodge, and hasn't come back up since!

I don't comment much anymore since the Slackster has become my comfort food, the show I wind down to after a long day of socializing online, but I'm still here and loving everything you do, Slack! ❤️

  12. The thing I love the most about this game is that every move is a calculated risk vs reward. Spend your runes to level up or buy some gear, or risk them to an enemy or boss? Try and take that last enemy out on a sliver of health, or bitch out and recover at a site of grace and start over again? Hit one more time and risk having your entrails turned into extrails or back off and hope that doesn't happen anyway!

  13. Proving once again that fumble fingers can still win… lol. I feel like my goal in this walkthrough is to try it as a bad player, lol. Still making it through so far.
