Honestly not making any excuses for elden ring… but bro… the level of shit that's in ER and you're complaining about the level of detail? Lmao… YOU claim that gamers are so damn entitled yet here you are MF. I'm GLAD ER has a MC of 96!!! I've always ALWAYS since 2009 and Demon's Souls that these games never got the recognition that they deserved.
some Sony and Ubi-soft devs called this game out recently, criticizing it's performance game, user experience and poor mission design, even digital foundry criticized the game saying fromsoftware's tech is flawed and almost every version of Elden Ring has serious performance issues, personally i'm enjoying the game and it seems to be fun and addictive but it's nowhere close to being one of the best games of all time, it's just a combination of previous souls game with a horse and open world all rolled in one
Honestly I think they just didn't have the money to make a game so big and also have the amount of details as other games. I don't think they thought the game would sell so well. Hopefully the next game will have the quality and quantity. Still easily the best souls game in my opinion.
Of course Elden ring doesn't have great graphics. FromSoftware were never known for their graphical prowess. They are known for their level design and gameplay. Horizon Forbidden west looks better graphically but has worse creature and level design. The gameplay isn't even similar enough to compare.
That's why I don't understand why everyone keeps comparing Elden Ring with Horizon forbidden west. Elden Ring is nothing like Horizon. They are both open world, that's where the similarities stop.
I love how Thrash thinks that book-ending this with "its a great game, but.." and "..but its a great game though" doesn't negate the hugely embarrassing crybaby energy on display here.
Dam….so many liars and people crying over this easy ass game. Lol….I do realize the majority of the people crying about this video are xbox fanboys who don't play souls games and just wanna be on some console war shit….or weaker gamers who think this is challenging. Lol. I meant what I said in the video….it's a great game…but it's not a great souls game and is a lower quality than we expect from a game 2 years into the generation.
The people defending ANY flaw of Elden Ring are the same people who cried about the original Demon's Souls winning game of the year back in the day. Johnny come lately, bandwagon, PC players who cheer anything becoming more played out and generic. I have the same problem with Breath of the Wild, linear games just have better pacing and atmosphere IMO.
For a game this big, I'm not gonna sweat them for bugs. I think comparing a remastered of an old PS3 game to a new PS4 game is pointless. Maybe comparing Elder Scrolls 6 to Elden Ring would make more sense whenever that game comes out. Sadly, a lot of games created during the pandemic are going to have bugs. Plus they kept it priced at $60 for next gen which is cool. I think this game is missing essential things for an open world game like an in game journal and mini map. The parry mechanic is still terrible. I thought they would've taken a page from sekiro. Overall, major props on what they've been able to accomplish.
Interesting video, well I can't even comment on this since I refuse to buy Elden Ring until they finish fixing that thing, all From Software titles launch with performance issues and strange bugs that cause more headaches than necessary.
I'll give my impressions of a game I do own and that is Gran Turismo 7 and how that game is possibly the best Gran Turismo game, it's not a perfect game by any stretch of the word but it's improved nearly every issue in from the previous title. The most important point is the driving dynamics and how is communicated to me, that part is very well done to the point I promptly deleted GT Sport. It has added a directorial progression system so new players don't get lost as it introduces you to goals, so you have an objective to shoot for. For veterans who played previous titles, this actually feels smart because it gives you that ah moment, yeah I can do this to grab this car reward so I can use it in this series because I want to save my credits for tuning and modify my car. Also following the recommendations will also introduce you to tuning, upgrading and license tests. Easily the best intro of any GT game in 25 years. As I stated no game is perfect, neither is this. Still has weird things that make no sense but will have to live with it. Engine swaps are relegated to this ticket roulette system that was on GT5 & 6. With hundreds of cars in the game, yeah I can see that be a pain if you want to swap motors like you do underwear. They could have put that in a better place, like you should have a time trial to beat for that specific engine, random bullshit is bullshit nonetheless. Used car lot is back for those that want to get that special car you can't buy anywhere else, the legendary cars is another strange thing, I'm not sure if I even understand that in it's current form, only been there once, didn't have enough cash to buy anything. I wished there was a simple way to list races by PP or Class of car or prize amounts for a shortcut. All these screens you have to go through, even if the loading time is short, it's more button presses when they could have cut down on that. Another thing which is confusing is the lack of a jump to garage button or prompt, GT5 & 6 both had this, so you could practically swap your car out in almost any screen. Minor issues, but trust me once you put hours into the game, they start to annoy you.
Visually the cars look gorgeous, no mistake no other title visually can touch these things, but they detail isn't at high for the courses, sure they are very detailed but, I'm a person who likes the little details and the fact I feel like I'm driving around a painting is still there. You can see there is no wind, as tree branches do not move at all, leaves don't shake either, so everything looks weird in periphery. So much detail on the track, the lack of it in the environment is still incredibly annoying to see, especially in replays. Yes it's nitpicking, but I like my games to go the extra mile. They freaking stimulated clouds forming, why not simulate tree branches moving to the wind as well?!? Weird oversights, typical of PD. Anyway the game itself is a joy to play. Cars feel and sound incredible to drive, although I'm still not sold in their weird version of "Rally" racing, though the ice racing from 5 & 6 would be welcomed😁. Anyway the dual sense really shines in this game, I've used it for every game I've played so far and this one really does it best. The feeling of ABS activating really gives you that oh, in right over the threshold, back off the pressure a bit. I can't praise that enough, it's what has been having me grinning from ear to ear along with the feel of the physics, the roar of the engines and the fact I'm able to play this thing. The return of dynamic weather and time of day really added a level of unpredictability to racing, one that can turn its fangs on you if you aren't careful.
Anyway this is just my impressions of the game. I haven't encountered any bugs or any of that, still the game is probably sitting at a 89 for me, which could go up or down depending on what else I come across, by currently is the most simple to get into approach in a GT game ever.
I'm hoping there is the random race generator at the end, similar to GT2. Oh, another thing the courses are tied to the Cafe for unlocking, which might be an issue for players who are used to having everything there at the start. There is a multiplayer aspect of community driven hangouts on almost every course, having an icon to denote if it has this feature is shown on the course select on the map. I haven't even gone online as I'm looking to complete the single player stuff first and unlock all the cards. Collector level 19 and counting, bought two cars and currently own 67 with only $1.1 million credits. This game is definitely fun even with it's flaws so far. I also only play in performance, I don't want 30fps and dips for Ray tracing, screw that noise. Until they get a super resolution version working, I'm not touching that crap.
One weird thing is this game random has weird frame drops outside of game play, that just looks odd. You see it in random places, like for instance in replay with only a handful of cars, but other times there's more cars on screen and no problems. It's weird to see, have not see that in actual game play but it's still annoying to witness that when watching a replay or one of the game many rendered sizzle reels.
This is my impression of GT7. I love GT franchise but man, they can do some weird shit that don't make sense but finally this game they did more good than weird. Widebody every car, because it looks 🔥.
DWYD my guy. No game gets a free pass, I paid for this shit so I am the one they need to impress.
So I respect your opinion, but you're looking at this game like it's Dark Souls 4. They gave it a different name for a reason. It's an open world version mixed in with bits and pieces of all of their games. The stuff that you say make it too easy are at the cost of making it an open world game. I honestly wouldn't play this game if it didn't have fast travel.
Tree Sentinel smoked you tho, even after you had Torrent and tried to cheese ‘em. Easy? Nah, but for real, it took me a while to learn its move set and I didn’t have Torrent yet, but I was stubborn. Those other sub-bosses can be easy, I agree, but I don’t consider them legit bosses, just some stronger enemy type with a name tagged health bar. Go fight Black Blade Kindred.
Lol I noticed the lip sync issues too when I was playing. I think they had a limited budget when making this game. But given the mass success, I expect the next elden ring game (or dlc) to have none of these issues. I read somewhere that dark souls 2 was supposed to be open world, but then their budget was sliced, or something like that. I always say gameplay over graphics, so I'm glad they made the world larger with lots more enemy variety rather then scaling down the size of the game for graphics and detail. I def noticed some copy/paste stuff going on, especially in the legacy dungeons.
Been on the fence about this game since they first revealed it, even back then I was not impressed with it graphically and as time went on I thought it was being a bit overrated, I initially thought the open world aspect to me was a mistake and seeing they hired a big time writer to pen the story of the game,it just doesn't reflect that. So I just don't know if I'm going to get it at some point I'll keep thinking on it I guess
There are bosses in this game that are harder than any other souls game. But you also get ashes of war and sorceries/incantantions that trivialize the game, much more so than any other dark souls game
@40:52 you said all that needed to be said… VGDs are fkn trash nowadays. I'm 37. When we was like 17 playn gta on ps2 we just knew future gaming was gon be dope af! NOPE! I got got wit No Man's Sky and Cyberpunk 2077! FTW!
MetaCritic is math. Math, as far as I can tell, isn't broken. It is the same math that OpenCritic uses. Your issues is with social media/reviewers and some nonsense about the basics of scoring products. We(humans) have been scoring products with points, stars, thumbs, etc for longer than you've been alive. No system is perfect but it is what we got. You can critize all them but you can't do better or you can't do anything that is flawless.
you cant even point out actual issues/faults about a fucking game without ppl getting tight about it. Elden ring to these lames is gods gift to gaming for some reason not sure how this game got hyped to this level but it DOES NOT DESERVE it at all. some of the closest games to perfect IMO are MGS1 and zelda Ocarina of time those are true 10 of 10 games and even they aren't perfect! ppl need to stop the cap and come correct about this game its no where near perfect! I can totally understand why devs are "pissed" about this game because they actually try to make a unique open world experience other than just making the same game they've been making the last 10+yrs but open world.
Gaming in general is an hand holding experience…me and my bros argue about this on a weekly basis ….way to many go to youtube gamers to find exploits and "meta" up until like a month ago I didn't even know what a meta was….these recent gamers of the past 5 to 10 years are ruining games…because the devs are catering to them entirely too much
gotta face facts blupoint made a better more detailed souls game then the souls creators themselves, imagine their take on elden ring wonder if it would get 10s across the board or because its a sony studio game would they say its flawed?????? @42:00 souls ppl think thats a good thing. the same old raggedy ass combat I guess they'd be fine playing elden ring and nothing else till they die according to the shit they say.

Its your choice which is great! It Has nothing to do with easiness or hardness with me because the player can make the game easier or harder as they want it to be! I love every Souls-borne FromSoft have made, and I have beaten every one of those games! So it can't be I love Elden Ring because it's " easy "! ( Which it is far from )! Cos if that was the case I would hate DS 1, 2 and 3, and my favourite of all those games, Bloodborne, and I can't say whether I prefer Bloodborne to Elden Ring yet because I haven't completed it, and I won't be completing it any time soon because I am searching in every corner, in every dungeon and under every rock I can find because this game is fukin amazing! I can see the floors but the positives outweigh that by a country mile. Phenomenal game!!!! Talking about double jumping makes it not a Souls game😂 Calm down fella.
Facts!! Elden ring is the Easiest, BUT the mechanics are more enjoyable. Sekiro Was hard AF but fun AF because of the new mechanics, good video my nigga 👊🏾 people be set Tripping, playstation niggas know that all games have issues
I think if Bloodborne 2 or Demon Souls 2 are a thing, they need collaborate with Bluepoint. Let them handle technical and visuals. Let From handle the lore, directing, and monster art
Good job, king 👍 I think a 89 score for elden ring is more than fair. After cyberpunk, battlefield, deathloop and elden ring i don't believe the reviews from journalists anymore. They are all insane!
Both great games but visually, Demon's Souls shits on all Souls games, Elden Ring has the open world going for it. I just hope Bluepoint are remastering Bloodborne. This is a better comparison than HFW, Horizon Forbidden West is more like an Assassins Creed or Far Cry
King, you know that Demon Souls Remake wasn’t made by Fromsoftware? It was remade by Bluepoint Games.
Sony owns Demon Souls & Bloodborne IP, but they do not own Dark Souls or Elden Ring, unless they purchase Fromsoftware of course but that’s why there’s differences.

I love Bloodborne. Still my #1 Soulborne game.
Souls games are realistic because you can take only so much deep slashes from swords before you die but in this you can heal cause it is still a game

Please tell me this is on the Switch.
@kingthrash u can fast travel in all souls game
Im sure they can do a update to increase infidelity, but what it has to offer is fine..
100% agree it's a good game but catered to filthy casuals
its super weird to me that some how graphical detail etc have become "not so important, bcuz the priority is fun" ..
I love how Thrash thinks that book-ending this with "its a great game, but.." and "..but its a great game though" doesn't negate the hugely embarrassing crybaby energy on display here.
I was shocked when stuff started disappearing.
Yay! I'm a scrub, a souls game I can finish? exciting times! lmao, the entire game is in "Game Journalist" mode
Dam….so many liars and people crying over this easy ass game.

From Software compromised to appeal to a wider casual audience. It was only a matter of time until they got corrupted by greed.
Love it 😂😂😂

I feel like I’m good at souls games because of this game lol

You haven’t even finished the game yet. You played the starter area designed for grandmothers to handle.
The removal of weapon repair is a QOL improvement imo …

I can see the floors but the positives outweigh that by a country mile. Phenomenal game!!!! Talking about double jumping makes it not a Souls game😂 Calm down fella.
A player who can make a character like him in a from software game is ugly as hell
Maaaan these souls fans say anything to defend these average ass action games…any-fuckin-thing 😭😭😭
I was actually surprised that Elden Ring sold more than Horizon FW. Never saw that coming
Facts!! Elden ring is the Easiest, BUT the mechanics are more enjoyable. Sekiro Was hard AF but fun AF because of the new mechanics, good video my nigga 👊🏾 people be set Tripping, playstation niggas know that all games have issues
Roasted cun cun ahahahahaha
22:50 Lol 😂 definitely agree with that. Old man smith laying down that hammer 🔨
