Elden Ring: Ranni Complete Questline Guide – How To Get The DARK MOON GREATSWORD (Ranni’s Quest) Timestamps:
00:00 – Intro & Ranni Quest Reward showcase – Dark Moon Greatsword
01:33 – 1: Talk to Renna at the Church of Elleh. She normally appears at night, the day after you first get your mount.
01:55 – 2: How To Start Ranni Side Quest
02:46 – 3: Complete Ranni mini task of talking to 3 phantoms within Ranni’s Rise
03:02 – 4: Goto Siofra River well & talk to Blaidd (If he isnt there for you, just progress forward)
03:55 – 5: Goto Selevis’s Rise & speak with Seluvis
04:08 – 6: Goto Waypoint Ruins & speak with Sellen.
04:48 – 7: Defeat Starscourge Radahn (Start quest from here if you have previously defeated him)
05:26 – 8: Head to Nokron & defeat the Mimic Tear boss to progress
06:38 – 9: Collect the Fingerslayer Blade for Ranni
07:42 – 10: Return to Ranni within Ranni’s Rise & give her the Fingerslayer Blade
07:55 – 11: How To Get To Ainsel River Main – Alt route requires you to take out the Twin Gargoyles Boss
10:49 – 12: Find the Miniature Ranni Doll then speak with Ranni via the grace nearby
11:20 – 13: Find & defeat Baleful Shadow & collect the Discarded Palace Key
12:43 – 14: Once the Discarded Palace Key is obtained follow the path to this grace to the Lake Of Rot
13:01 – 15: Head to the Raya Lucaria Grand Library & Use the Discarded Palace Key to open the Chest there to get the Dark Moon Ring
13:33 – 16: Head back to the Lake Of Rot grace, then follow the path to progress
14:23 – 17: Defeat the Astel Naturalborn of the Void boss
14:39 – 18: Progress on to the Moonlight Alter
14:46 – 19: Head to the Cathedral Of Manus Celes
15:07 – 20: Follow the path down this hole to Ranni to complete this quest & get the Dark Moon Greatsword

For me it says you are not destined to open this ?
The teleporter does not appear in Ranni's tower after you collect the fingerslayer blade, it appears in the tower northeast of her tower which was previously sealed
if I remember it right it's the tower you first see if you enter the three sisters from the royal moongrazing ground (the place where you fight loretta)
What if ranni tower says blocked for now
Back to back bangers. What's funny is, I just decided to finish this questline and bam, you post this 4 hours ago. Haha.
This is a poorly executed guide. You got me half way and now I have to find someone else’s. The jump from Seluvius to waypoint ruins made no sense and completely threw me off track.
Could only find 2 phantoms, I assume the third only appears based on story progress?

the first step talking to ranni at church of ellih is optional as id already went to roundtable hold and i went to rannis rise and everything went the same

Before doing all this, get the spell flame clense me. it stops scarlet rot and poison ect. helps alot going over the lake of rot.
So it’s my first time going in to the tower after seeing her at church of elleh. Why’s isn’t she here?

Will pursuing this quest change the ending? Cuz I wanna stick with a vanilla ending for my first play through and avoid betraying Melina
I spoke with her at Church of Elleh beat that swordsman on the horse and went straight up there and she wasn't there. Is there away around that? Or was I suppose to do something before?
