It’s not even the consoles fault, it’s those devs that didn’t optimized the game properly
It's sus you post performance analysis right after digital foundry
Ign think they are digital foundry
The hype behind this poorly optimized masterpiece is exactly what's wrong with the gaming community. How can this even be considered a masterpiece or score a 10/10 with an unstable frame rate?
Poor Direct X 12 support!!, All Xbox consoles and P.C. should had its own development team to fully optimize this game from the ground up to take advantage of DX12 this would had allowed for the game to run much more better on PC and consoles all Xbox consoles have support for DX12 along with other hardware tools to allow developers to use the hardware more efficiently, DX12 and these tools are even more important today given how much more demanding new games will get and with last gen consoles being relevent today and still tomorrow we the gamers and people like IGN need to remind developers to not cut corners on development and optimization and if they are going to support mulitiple platforms and charge full price for all of them then dont give us mediocre ports of the game cause they didnt want to spent the time and money to get the right development team for Microsoft's consoles and P.C. and just favor development to more so to Sony's thats not right.
Why are your pc load times so slow? My load of a first death at Margit was also bout 6 seconds and im on a Sata3 ssd
If ppl can play DS1 on 360/PS3 back then, no one should complain about Elden Ring on Xb1 😉
Playing on PS5 and I'm more annoyed by the fact u can't disable motion blur instead of performance issues.
It gives a ton of people motion sickness and eye strain.
This also makes the game look horribly blurry on my LG C1 like no game I've ever played before.
Quality mode looks amazing and doesn't have motion blur, but playing a game like this at 30 fps is suicide.
I'm still 50 hours in but have to take many breaks to protect my eyes and health.
Playing 4k 60 fps 60 hours in elden ring on my pc never had one problem !
They need to come out with an optimization patch ASAP for at least current gen + PC… This is crazy 😛
PS5 version is honestly such a headache w/ the inconsistent framerates
FromSoftware and bad performance going hand in hand since the beginning of time.
This is, unfortunately, just the way they develop their games.
Looks bad on ps4 base and plays bad. It's laggy.
Played on a Series S on a 4K projector. No issues whatsoever. Looks and plays great.
Can you do a "how to optimise your PC guide" so people can buff up their PC where possible
Will they fix the fps???? Because every time it rains or like I’m in some area the fps drops so badly
What is wrong with PC development in Japan? They really are awful at developing and optimizing for the PC, no matter what studio it is. Does anyone know why that's the case?
Judging by this… is like for sure it will not be a RayTracing update in the future? (as some say)
From software needs a modern engine. After playing Demons Souls this just feels like a huge step backwards
Been playing on a one X which looked worse than dark souls 3. Thankfully my series X is arriving today. Can't wait to see the leap in performance
PS5 plays well
Is it worth buying on ps4 slim? Really wanted to experience the world by myself but idk will the performance ruin my immersion…
The sooner the 9th gen consoles are readily available and the 8th genration are discounted the better as the games are really struggling nowadays both in performance and visuals. Sub 1080P Sub 30FPS should not be seen as anywhere near acceptable in 2022.
Plz do a PS5 quality mode vs PC(PS5 equivalent settings) comparison & tell which PC gpu is equivalent to PS5 gpu in this game.
5:35 14:17 PS5 GPU in Elden ring is performing even better than NXG's RX 6800 PC. PS5 GPU Crossgen Performance in most games RX 6700XT RX 6800 or better. PS5 IS A BEAST
PS5 FULL CPU POWER EQUIVALENT TO RYZEN 3950X & PS5 FULL GPU POWER WHICH IS RX 6800XT RASTER & RAY TRACING PERFOMANCE WILL BE SHOWCASED IN NEXT GEN

Any ps4 players here? How's it feel?
Unoptimized on all platforms and a large majority of players will still call this game a masterpiece. When did gamers standards get so low 🤦♂️
Wow. What a fantastic tech deep dive, loved it, thank you. Fingers crossed for a PC update.
Currently playing the ps4 version on my ps5..60 fps locked is the base in these types of games.
I'm playing on PC in 3440x1440p with the black bars removed and an uncapped frame rate and get an average of 85 frames per second with max settings. Yes it does dip occasionally and it does stutter every once and a while but the fps never goes lower than 60 fps. So it may not be the most stable way to play but it still runs consistently at higher fps and resolutions than console's making it the best way to play in my opinion. But if you would rather play at 30fps at 1080 be my guest.
No IGN you will not be like digital foundry
The game is ok that’s about it…. Nothing special here
Wait, they are still releasing games that has 60 fps cap? Why? Who benefits from this? But… still, its not "cyberpunk 1.0" bad, great game tho
Did they fix controller support on pc yet? Couldn't get it working on launch week
Before watching video: "How the hell has IGN squeaked out a 20min video on Eledn Ring performance!?"
After watching video: "Fair enough"
On Xbox one it looks like I’m playing Donkey Kong Country
It's been flawless on my series x
Microsoft hasn't mentioned the "most powerful console" slogan ever since the games started having comparisons 🤷🏻♂️
