PS4:
1080p at 30fps
43,64Gb

PS4 Pro:
1800p at 30fps (reconstructed resolution & unlocked framerate)
43,64Gb

PS5:
2160p at 30fps (unlocked framerate)
1620p at 60fps (common resolution)
44,80Gb

– All versions have the release patch applied.
– PS5 has greater draw distance, anisotropic filtering, texture quality, shadows and vegetation, but it is clear that it is a game mainly developed for Oldgen.
– PS5 extra vegetation looks worse by pop-in.
– Draw distance for PS4/Pro is too low on some assets.
– PS4 suffers from quite a few stuttering issues, which are less prevalent in closed environments.
– PS4 Pro and PS5 in quality mode should give option to lock framerate to 30FPS.
– Shorter loading times on PS5. In general, they have been slightly improved since the beta on all platforms.
– If we run the PS4 game on PS5, we get a perfect framerate at 1800p (with temporary reconstruction) sacrificing the graphical improvements offered by the native PS5 version.
– Elden Ring’s performance is hampered by a graphics engine that has never stood out for its optimization. FromSoftware should think about renewing.

  2. they should do 40fps on a 120hz display like ratchet and clank, at least include such a mode since it hangs around that range besides a 30fps capped one and such

  4. What were they thinking? I mean, it could've easily been getting stable 60FPS at 1440p, yet they chose to make it run at 1620p whose visual improvement is negligible but with unstable frametime.

  5. Even though I’ll never touch this game but after having a PS4-PS4pro and now the PS5 I can’t say I don’t enjoy the PS5 but I can only give it a 7/10 it doesn’t do enough and the jump is not as crazy graphically speaking from the pro to the 5 like it was from the 3 to the 4 but at least that’s my take on it

  6. To be honest, I play the game on my Series X with VRR and it feels smooth enough, thanks to that technology. Didn't pick the PS5 version because I don't want to miss out several fidelity features (don't get me wrong, ER looks totally ok on PS4). Fromsoft needs to rework their engine and Sony needs to bring VRR to their console!!
