The decision is likely 100% on Sony and Microsoft's end. Consoles have weird release laws and rules in the industry. Please don't be mad at From Soft.

I'm in New Zealand and playing on PS5. I'll be getting it slightly earlier and getting a very solid experience.
If you're on Xbox you can just set your times one to New Zealand and get the game the same time as PC.
I have it pre-ordered on PS4 and I think I'll be able to play at 11pm on the 24th
Yeah my GameStop preorder says release date 5/1/22 and I preordered it in November the moment it went on sale. I called to they said it should still come Friday but I’m buying it digitally as well.
Mainly gaming on PS4 but am hoping to eventually play the PC version via the Steam Deck (If fromsoftware makes sure it can actually run on the thing.)

It's releasing at 4pm in Texas which is technically 8 hours early but if you're on the East coast then yeah its 6 hours lol
PS is the fucking native console, the fact we are stuck getting the game last is BS. I hope they just release the game a day or two early to make it more fair

It's earlier on PC because the PC release is global while consoles release midnight local time. In Australia Console goes live 10 hours before PC

Xbox can change time zone and get it 21 hours early if you live in west coast.

What am I not seeing here? NZ says the 25th at midnight. I am in PT and mine says 3pm on the 24th. Why does New Zealand get it earlier than everyone? Just trying to figure this out so I can plan my time zone manipulation here. lol Someone more seasoned than I, can you help a noob play this game early please?
The last time I was aware of a big game coming out for PC in a staggered release, New Zealand had a chuckle about the immigration/tourism of so many people using a VPN to avoid waiting 10-20 hours for no good reason.
