  1. The controls for this game are a complete joke. That being said, if you had just taken a moment to right-click on the screen in any of those menu's, you would have seen the back button. And on top of that, in any menu in the game, Q is "back" and E is "select"

What blows my mind is that From Software didn't even bother to create a standard, custom control system for the PC. Like all of their other games, it's just a shit port from console. So for all of the instructions on how to play going forward, even if you're on PC, you're only guided based on how to play on controller. I had to sit down to figure out exactly what every single button does and remap everything just to play normally, and I had to write down a conversion list of controls, Xbox controller to PC keyboard and mouse, that way any time a tip popped up on the screen, I'd know at a glance what it meant to me as a KB+M player.

All in all, this game isn't worth $60 on PC. Not even close. From Software didn't even try to make this a player friendly experience on PC.

  2. This game and the Souls games have always looked so dreary and boring to me that I’ve never tried them. Really have no idea what people see in them. That said, if you’re not even gonna actually review the game, don’t make the video just whine about AAA again.

  3. Sorry to hear your experience. I'm playing on PS5 and it's astoundingly good. Honestly,,, I agree entirely with you – anything that is sold on PC should work on PC. It is utterly pathetic for publishers to pull this crap. But… the game is really very good (at least in my experience). I think you're just a tad unfair regards lambasting other reviews, because this is a rare exception when they have it right.

(Obviously, you do need to be a souls-fan too – if you are, then I'm willing to bet this will be the best new game you play this year)

  4. in the key rebinding menu: right click to select from 3 options, one of which is Back (no Alt+F4 required) default was Q I believe to go back
there is also a setting to make your keybind hints appear as keyboard binds and not controller
not showing the keybind for Open Map in the binds menu is inexcusable (why your G button was bound already)
800dpi mouse (standard DPI) with the mouse sensitivity and camera sensitivity down to 1… is still like 360 degree turn per 3 centimeters. had to lower mouse DPI to 400
with all that sorted out, the game still doesn't feel good with the camera constantly fighting against your mouse's control of the camera. not sure if it's the 60fps cap but my eyes didn't feel right during the adjustment periods of stopping the camera movement and focusing on what I want to look at

  5. It runs really well on PS4 pro, looks great n pretty smooth, no issues tbh, this is the problem with pc though let’s be honest it’s hard to make games run well with so many different combinations of hardware and the devs don’t get time to optimise for all those combos whereas console it’s way easier to optimise when 100 million for e.g all have the same set up

  6. Make it Ultrawide, make visual representations of the keys we bind on PC… It's easy.
I'm a developer, literally give me a crack at it and I'll do a better job porting this game than FromSoftware.
    Rebrand yourself to "FromPlaystation" 😆
