Welcome to the sixth part of my lorethrough series.

In this series I shall be taking you through The Lands Between. We will be discussing the characters, the locations, themes, symbolism and the lore.

I encourage you the viewer to discuss any points that I raise, down in the comments below.

I hope that you can play alongside this series, and together we unravel the mysteries placed within this broken and shattered land.

  1. I often think about just how many dead were stuffed into the cave in which we awoke, and I actually kind of go on a tangent about it in my walkthrough. Mounds of stone caskets, each a mass grave in its own right, with multiple skeletons stuffed into the cavity. Were these other Tarnished whom the grafted attempted to dispose of? Were these all of Godrick's making? It would certainly take some great means to mine all that stone, then carve it, then get it down to the deepest part of the cave with each one full of corpses.

I wonder if these graves were all casualties of The Shattering

  2. Are we avoiding spoilers from online item descriptions and stuff later in the game already uncovered? Melina and Renna are pretty uncovered in the lore now but that just leaves me with other questions.

  3. Really enjoying it so far! Just wondering with some items you pick up (string, faded erdtree flower, fallen wolf ashes (?) etc.) and you don't read the item description is this because you already know they don't contain any lore? Not meaning to be nit-picky, know not every item has a description with lore in it, I just wanted to check. Thanks and look forward to watching more in the future!

  4. The amount of christian themes this time around is somewhat overwhelming. It's starts with Marika which is just another name for maria goes over to GODwyn, GODfrey and GODrick and ends in people hanging on literal crosses and i did not even properly leave limgrave. The story trailer alone has so much stuff to take into account, at this point i'm theorizing more than actually playing the game.

  5. Really like your approach of exploring these little details.
Most of the time they get overlooked and I feel the effort that goes into level & enemy design warrants somebody giving it justice. Keep it up!

  6. Completely agree about the compass, I actually didn’t think about it at first! Your eyes being your guide, drawing you to objects and buildings in the distances is much more adventurous, allowing your discoveries to feel natural. They’ve truly created something beautiful. From Soft pioneered the combat in games, now they’re pioneering the open world.
