ELDEN RING First Playthrough (Pt. 1)

OHHH ELDEN RING. IT IS REAL.

Before this, I had only watched the initial reveal trailer that came out ~8 months before launch. No network test experience or other trailers. ENJOY!! — Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/lobosjr

  1. Sorry for the lower quality everyone; it usually processes it in this time and I scheduled it to release while I was asleep 😅 must be everyone uploading their playthroughs slowing everything down 😣 should be HD soon enough!

  2. The game is ok, but feels so empty. Like you run around and stuff, but there is nothing to do sometimes, or nothing to grab in hidden places. The bosses have tons of health too, and are kinda unfair. But I admit sometimes it's kinda epic. I like the blocking then counter with strong attack. I have a +12 uchigatana and I deal 100 damage on some bosses, that's ridiculous. Need some balancing stuff.

  3. Gonna be honest I wasn't sure this game would be that great so I….. Um…. I did a high seas maneuver and tried it out and I can say it's actually very fun and worth a purchase.

  4. Idk if it’s just because i woke up in a bad mood. But i played it for the first time this morning and just couldn’t enjoy the transition from dark souls remastered to Elden ring

  5. I know absolutely nothing about Dark Souls. The closest thing i ever played to a FromSoft game was this old ps2 game called Evergrace (which is how i first found Lobos stream from his playthrough!). I heard about all the hype surrounding Elden Ring, even seeing GRRM involved was really cool. The past few days since release i’ve been watches hours of gameplay from other streamers while live on twitch, but i wanted to start watching someone’s play through from the start, so here i am! I always felt lobos is good at learning enemy attacks instead of just blindly fighting them, when i watched his Breath of the Wild gameplay, he really impressed with how he was able to flurry rush lynels and easily beat them that way. So i’m super excited to see this playthrough 😃

  6. Really sad that you don't understand the power of guard counters where i am in the video, maybe because you went for a backstab in the tutorial instead of the crit, hopefully you keep using it and discover how strong it is.

  7. Loving the playthrough but he really did jump way ahead after the fist major boss. Had to stop watching and catch up, only to realize he went backtracking 11 hours into the playthrough lol

  8. Hey Lobos, I'll be honest, I'll not stay for the video but I've been watching your channel for years (…and years) and hope you enjoy the journey. I'll finish my game with no spoilers and I'll come back at a later date.

    Have a good week.

  9. Lobos in the beginning looks like he was almost crying. What a great soul!
It felt like seeing an NBA player about to play in a game he knows he's going to win but its so grateful for everything he has and humble and happy he's doing what he loves.

This man is one of the few who inspired me to stream. I hope one day he'll find this puny little comment.

  10. I didn't have this many opportunities to talk to Melina, did I skip them by getting invited to the Roundtable Hold way early by immediately wandering off to a different zone? Edit: Kept watching and I guess I misunderstood what the trigger is for getting invited, because Lobos gets invited without going where I did. No clue then.

  11. He must have not watched anything about the game to not know there was chest on the back of those big ass carriages. They showed that off in a trailer. I guess he really didn't want to know anything at all about the game. Gotta love the discipline.

  12. I explored a while before fighting Margaret… and found a scarlet rot dog spirit. I decided to give it a shot thinking it would be a nice distraction… it absolutely WRECKED Margaret… O_o
Hard to say we're I got it as I just flat out got lost after getting trapped by something lol

  13. One thing that immediately stands out about this game vs other open world games is how visually interesting and intensely vertical the landscape is, and how even though it's open world there are still choke points and major geographical obstacles to figure out a way around. One of my biggest gripes about open world games as a level design nerd is they're always just flat open expanses where there's nothing between you and your destination but time. Modern open world design philosophy basically strips the art of level design completely out of a game. I guess it's not surprising that the makers of the best 3D level design in all gaming somehow found a way to keep interesting level design in an open world format.

Also, why is it a bold, unusual design choice to make a FANTASY OPEN WORLD GAME look FANTASTICAL (looking at you Witcher 3 and Elder Scrolls). Why the fuck is Witcher 3 so BORING LOOKING in comparison? From a visual and gameplay design perspective this is the best open world we've ever had from a fantasy game. It's not even close.
