Dude! I've watched several tips videos for beginners on this game and urs is the most concise and plain speak one I have seen so far. I watch ur content often, but I love this video because the language u use is relatable and to the point. Thanks again UEG!
Got the round table much earlier. It seems to be after a few general day night or death cycles.
The encounter with the witch at Church of Elleh is triggered by meeting the finger maiden and receiving torrent at the Gatefront graze. She will not spawn unless you do that first.
This games botw big thatd be a game we'll be playing for a few years at least! Maybe 5-10 with the remake and such inevitable things
Ive heard its difficult lol so i have to buy it now
It is always nice to see when you upload guides to break up some of the often dipointing news you cover. Keep up the nice work!
a friend died to mergit a few times, and he also got the cutscene for going to the roundtable when he rested.
I think just entering the fight, dying/quitting out and then resting at a site of grace should suffice.
also I'm sure many people will have pointed this out, but 2 handing just gives +50% strength like in ds1 and ds3
I would recommend getting the sacred blade ash of war while at the third church. I believe it is out to the right up an incline. I would say hill but it drops off to some water. You have to kill one those beetle things. Don't worry. The beetle can't roll into the water.
I can mod your ps4 version for 50 $. Max stat’s
But is it as good as they make it out to be?
Glad I found an alt way to progress after I already died 93 times w/ Margit
A major tip is to use the slots that appears on the right side of the screen when you "pause"the game.
Those are shortcuts that you can access by holding Triangle/Y and hitting the dpad.
Makes it SOOO much easier to use the horse.
Bamco has gone woke. I made a post saying I wouldn't get the game because 'body a/body b' and was insta-banned. When people complained about the politicized localization of Super Robot Wars they got similar, and when a mod came out fixing the localization all posts mentioning it were removed. I'm glad I never picked up Tales of Arise or Scarlet Nexus.
Is magic any good in this?
Without a lore mode this game is trash.
Got that annoying weight isssue with inventory slowing characters and crap?
Think my favorite thing so far is the no skill ash of war. Being able to use a shield while using your main hand ash of war is OP as fok
I have 37hrs played but I'm watching this anyway, there's always more to learn when it comes to FromSoftware
Glowing eyed enemy is a night only mechanic. So farm at night.
Thanks for the tip on the mining bells. Smiting stones are stupidly rare early game compared to the Souls games; I ended up beating Godrick with the claws because I couldn't find fist teir stones to get anything to a decent level, so bleed was the only means I had to really damage him.
i have no idea what to do in this games. first 2 minutes and i have no plan where to go.
Actually the round table is not related to that. I think there are more ways to unlock it. When I was getting my ass handed by Margie (cane guy), I rested in the bonfire to change my build and got access to the round table. Maybe it is connected to game time or number of deaths.
Here's how the tip for two handing weapons works. This only works for weapons that you don't meet the STR stat requirement for, because two handing a weapon effectively increases your STR stat by 50%. e.g. Weapon has 30 STR requirement, but you only have 20 STR. You can use that weapon when you two hand it because of the 50% boost making your STR effectively 30.
The round table isn’t location based, it’s how many different grace sites you visited.
as a souls borne noob, the first thing that i learned that made a huge different is weight and dodge rolls, i was so tilted that i was like what's the point of rolling if it never works, only to learn from a friend due to my armor being heavy my dodge timings was tighter/almost non existent. so now i know to have either light load/med load. i then beat tree sentinel and realized why this game can possible be the best game that has been launched this year, i hope new players like myself give this game the time and respect it totally earned.
Ive gotten the majority of grace in the game and havnt even really played the game yet, didnt even know you could level for first 6 hours because nothing ever prompted me to click a grace part again, just figured it was respawn. just walked around. Im 11 hours in and still dont know what im supposed to do in this game after having killed a bunchof spooky dudes, so finally looking it up. Not of fan of the games design. Meanwhile the map actually doesnt feel that big, after looking it up for the first time I was like "dang ive already been everywhere lmao"
Mounted combat feels terrible and its sad if you do have to use it later.
People like the writing?
I'm 99% sure you don't need to do either of the things you said to unlock the Roundtable. I spent a lot of time exploring the 2 areas before Margit but did not go to Liurnia, and already had access to it before killing Margit.
We are happy that Bethesda can finally continue with new engine realistic next gen visuals and animations and everything what we deserve in 2022 and now on Elden Ring uneducated YouTubers and reviewers with such big score not considering all aspects and elements for marking it among other heavy invested and made with great knowledge 2022 games gave developers totally wrong message that we can tolerate old way from 2012 style. NEVER we are CHEATED and this is not forgettable for 2022 game level of experience visual above gameplay because it is first and the most impressive contact with media
Nice. I'm about a day in, didn't know about holding the item switch – that seems like it'll be useful. Completely went past the maps until my 3rd or so day of playing, definitely worth marking NPCs and other points of interest due to how large the world is.
It's definitely not small, but every time I look at maps, I don't get the sense that the open world is truly as big as people say it is? It seems like it's a pretty standard size for an open world game (big, but not OMG huge or anything). Or is that just because I haven't actually played the game and ridden through it personally?
Most useful tips out there at this moment
The Fighting Cowboy has a community password fcb, does the Upper echelon community have one as well??
Best guide so far imo. Not as many tips as some others but these tips are definitely more useful and comprehensive. Please more guids im one of those new to the genre
This game is more like how to Become a Satist Mesochist.
The healing items i have in my pouch so i dont have to cycle through my items. Its really useful.
Is Elden Ring a good entry point to souls like games?
I’m gonna try this out at some point, so I will definitely save this video. I love how the world looks in this. I have played these types of games before very little, so I am expecting it to be rough go for me. But I am going in with an open mind and patience.
Didn’t know you could just skip the castle lol
Im 15 hours in, went thru that camp and didnt get the knife for the ashes lol thank you for pointing that out.
You don't even need an interactive map to find the tunnel bell bearings. The tunnels that can have them will be black circles with a reddish outline on the map.
11:02 You haven't found many cause from what I've gathered they spawn at night, and when you die it always resets back to morning. Some enemies also will only spawn at night.
