‘Elden Ring’ director explains why the game was delayed

February is a huge month for games. With ‘Dying Light 2’ already out, ‘Horizon Forbidden West’ coming soon, and a plethora of other titles coming before the month is capped off by ‘Elden Ring’, one of the most anticipated titles in a long time. The thing is, ‘Elden Ring’ was originally due to have already been released by now, but it was delayed, and director Hidetaka Miyazaki has explained why in an interview with Edge magazine.

  1. So i dont believe that is the reason. I would bet money on the fact they wanted more time to advertise the game and get more people to see it. I think it has a good chance to be game of the year but, i think fromsoft dumped a lot more money into this game and wanted to make sure they saw a hig return.

  2. DS3 I think reached around 10-12 million in sales so considering Elden Ring has the open world going for it plus the sheer amount of hype especially these past few months has me thinking ER will exceed DS3. I hope to see it reach around 15 million or more because FromSoft deserves it imo…every game I purchased that was developed from them I had a blast with!!!

  3. In retrospect I've always felt every Soulslike game was missing something , eventually got repetitive , and lost alot of It's luster.
Elden Ring so far solves ALL those problems for me , It feels fully realized and Idealistically complete. It's everything you ever wanted
In all of the right places , size , depth , and art direction. Miyazaki knew what I was dreaming of.
