I am actually working on a regen build right now, trying to synergize the str abilitys with claw faith caster item for some small spell support.
Buffs and a bit of caster damage though small does come in handy throwing fireballs atm.
I'm running blessed dew and eldtree favor atm, plan on putting Crimson and the Dragoncrest (great)shield later.
I'm trying to keep lv low and since I'm running royal armor for the extra 8hp per sec when under 18%. I use the turtle shield to keep weight down and to have Stam regen with 100%physical shield.
After testing with the GS, Grave Sythe, and a few others I'm currently mailing the Great Star now for the 6hp per hit. I threw wild strikes on it for a hyper armor attack, let's me truck through any basic hit and works with a damage pen when fp gone so I can always get into that hyper armor when needed.
Anyways this is the ground work atm, look forward to your thoughts.

why do you talk about "spells doing max damage"? there is literally 0 reason to get 80 in ANY STAT.

Every time I lock on and use the beam from the sword it straight up just goes above their head or in to the ground 50% of the time very inconsistent

There´s a weapon called deaths poker. the weapon art is pretty cool and does different things depending on what you follow up with. It would fit really well with the rancor spells since it does ghost flame (and frost buildup).
