This story is about:The sudden death of his mother leaves Mark (Elijah Wood) a poor child with no one to take care of him, and his father, who has been busy with his work, fosters Mark in the home of his Uncle Wallace (Daniel Hugh Kelly), so much so that Uncle Wallace’s son, Henry (Macaulay Culkin) becomes Mark’s best friend.
Henry is seen as a good boy, but over time, the smart and sensitive Mark discovers Henry’s dark and evil heart. To Mark’s shock, Henry attempts to murder his sister Connie (Quinn Culkin) and mother Susan (Wendy Crewson). Mark tries to expose Henry for what he really is, but no one believes him and instead sees him as a bad boy. Anxious, Mark decides to take matters into his own hands and sabotage Henry’s plans.
