EGGHEAD TO THE RESCUE / EGGHEAD 2 – on the ZX Spectrum 48K. Published by Crash Magazine in 1990. Released as a Cover Tape Issue 83. Written by Jonathan Cauldwell.
As usual, it’s not about perfect game play, but easing stress, having some fun and seeing what the game would have felt like on your first or second go.

Nice graphics and use of colour. Not sure about using the can-can as the game music tho.
I think Mr.cauldwell made a version of theme park that fitted into 16k
Bad Manners did the best Can Can, on TOTP too.
Looks good but the falls to your doom are a bit harsh. My first digital watch played the Big Ben chimes the Can-Can. Great days!
Such a good channel Nick – thanks for all the great stressbusting content 👍
I am an egg and I am badly deformed because of the plutonium leak next to the water suppy
There’s also egghead in space
Looks an improvement over the original, I had a look at some of the later versions and they are even better still and he can somersault in one of them. If this was a Steam game I can imagine unlockable upgrades to help which could include increasing that annoyingly-low fall damage height, and maybe some skins where he walks more upright.
There's one "Egghead Entertains" which is notable for one really, really non-AY-Chip-sounding snippet in the soundtrack. Worth one short play if not just for this little audio trick.
