  1. I've been working at a body shop for a bit now and extra tips I learned was if you're painting the door, it's better to take off the mirror and belt molding (the trim at the bottom of the window) for a better paint job in the end. The mirror can get in the way, and if you're unlucky, the clear coat could stick in that gap between the door and the belt molding.

  2. I'm surprised you positioned the ladder to rest against the frame of the window. I guess it would be better to tack a plank across that area first to distribute the pressure?

But then.. no harm no loss right?

  3. Thanks for another helpful video. I'm confused at how easily the replacements were pushed into place (behind an edge piece on each side.) I have cracked vinyl siding pieces trying to get them behind an edge piece. Any suggestions? Or do the pieces barely overlap? And, would that be an area for water intrusion?

  4. I always use a stabilizer that will span the window. Slightest slip and the glass will give and you have a whole ‘ other ‘ thing or two to fix, maybe yourself. Enjoy your videos but please be safe!

  5. I've been working on home for a long time and never would anyone I work with would have done that move with the ladder on the window. That would get a guy fired off the job. I know you didn't break it, but the window manufacturer would also say that's a no no.
