Cool stuff!
From the crash cut scene and followed by the tentacle coming out of the ground. This game is HEAVILY inspired by Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Frankly I am here for it!
The sound effects are pretty good
I love the eerie and uneasing atmosphere created, it creates a duel between caution and curiosity it's really cool.
Sadly the main character model looks like a free asset named Drongo from the old Paragon game by Epic Games. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5_z59aaQJc
is this game worth a buy??? I played the vampire one and its pretty great
It reminds me quite a bit of Returnal
This game seems great, especially for a one man show. It's beautiful.
I wonder if this developer is some kind of incredible person would be an invaluable asset to any game development team, or if he's the insufferable kind of genius who couldn't work with someone else to save his life.
As a tech demo, this is super awesome. It needs more narrative integration, though.
If I was running this I'd make the planet be the spawning ground of a proto-cthulhu-like race of beings that do not reproduce normally, but do so by infecting any other life eventually turning infected in to new creatures or absorbing them entirely. The creatures would enhance their capabilities with the new acquisitions – like an organic Borg.
There can then be ruins and remnants of many different outposts from various alien races that were lured to the spawn world. Each should have a different technology and style.
The androids/robots can be an attempt to destroy the organism by some ancient race. Since the Cthulhulic creatures do not readily understand or build machinery and can only infect life, the robots are natural enemies. The robots should be self-replicating and built from various alien technology they can find. Of course they are out to kill you too since you're organic, and infected.
Alien technology and ruins are then heavily policed by robots, but if you can drive them back, you can claim new kit, but of course the Cthulhuics will become more powerful if you push back the robots. Since you're infected you can start to use or develop Cthulhuic-like powers, but doing so will spread the infection more quickly (a la Balder's Gate 3). You have to then choose if you want to weaken your self, the robots, or try to get by with minimal or scattered upgrades. Perhaps an option to start getting cybernetic augmentations to stave off the infection would work too, culminating with you becoming a full-on battle bot.
I'd recommend a Borderlands-like weapon environment where each "manufacturer" would be a different alien species with a different type of technology and focus. It would be very cool to get to crafting in such an environment and be able to start combining different technologies.
this game remind me of predator

"…might of…"
Nah, I'm gonna pass on this one
Splat you are undeniably bad for my wallet sir. i buy almost every game you recommend because you havent let me down yet.
I love you splattercat.. I’m one of the ppl who know your song references. A lot of you audience probably doesn’t 😂
This is just too similar to Returnal.
I don't know. We'll see as the game develops more.
Eerily close to Returnal in a lot of the gameplay style, environments, etc. but I think it's got just enough to set itself apart from that. It's also crazy impressive to all be done by a single guy.
Thanks for showcasing! ^^
just played the demo and I'm very excited about the game. Can't wait to see that first boss.
You make any game look good when you only spend 30 minutes in it and it's all still exciting.
I bet after 3 runs of this game you're done, no more fun, nothing new, no new skills to keep it going.
I almost bought it cause it looks so good but you have a knack for polishing a turd.
If gravity is lower the snow, leaves, your "hair things" etc,,, all should feel more floaty. The problem is the inconsistency of them!
gostei da indicação, vou baixar e experimentar.
If your ship is unrepairable, you've already been retired…
Can you please do less talking, your voice being so constant and non stop is so annoying. Just like shut up for 2 minutes and let us enjoy the game without having to listen to your babbling on and on and on and on.
11:22 I refunded Last Epoch, I found it extremely boring in the beginning and gave up pretty much immediately.
Oh look, the Upside Down from Stranger Things.
I love how he installs the gem into his old weapons and then directly swaps to a new weapon!🤦🏼♂️
Who is they it's one dude lol
They need to hire a voice actor to do that robot voice.
At 20:39 doesn't the bottom right 2 show hot key 1 and 2?
Immersion ruined by those blue balls flying into your inventory. Who and why left a Dark pistol and those chests full with various equipment there sitting on the rock? Just a shoot them up. Not interested.
