How will the planet look in a century? According to scientific predictions, the Sun will continue to get hotter and brighter, and all of Earth’s oceans may dry up within the next century. The verdant, lush landscapes of today could eventually give way to stony terrain, valleys, and deserts. The Moon appears smaller when you look up at the night sky because it is steadily separating from Earth by 3.8 cm every year. There will also be fewer stars in the sky. Positively, we will have developed to the point where we have outposts on Mars and the Moon and may have even traveled beyond of our solar system!
