  1. Trash talking online was a big deal during this time because it was a new feature the world was largely unaware of. This is back when consoles were just starting to implement internet connectivity (hence the jab at Nintendo for not having internet on Gamecube).

  3. wild how good microsoft was in comparison to the other companies back then, but their disastrous Xbox One announcement handed Sony the dub for the next 2 generations lol

  4. Cannot stop laughing at "Working with Kojima-san is like working with Socrates" ah yes Socrates famously collaborated with others on products to be sold

  5. FYI E3 was originally an industry event for suits. It wasn't intended for Little Timmy to stream from their home. Obviously that changed over time but it was a gradual change. The farther back you go, the more boring it gets. We all know what it changed into.

  7. Can't believe they're selling trash talking as a feature… that explains a lot.

Also, the way they treat women, this shit led directly to GamerGate.

98% male audience… this also explains the SA scandals at Ubisoft and ActivisionBlizzard. You can see the women at their office having to fight off their advances from the stage, seriously. I wonder how many of those men had wives and daughters?
