  1. Whoever gave you the bike hit a home run; finally a bike I can really ride; being shorter than the average you either pay top dollars for a sized frame or take the bite and ride a larger bike; I tested the Ardor and I could ride it kinda comfortably but I know that if I slip out of the pedals I’d be singing like a soprano the rest of my life… can’t wait to see this bike running down Cat’s meow

  2. Man, my 3,5 months old puppy was barking like crazy when she saw intro, with you wearing those sunglasses. It was 6:30 in the morning, I thought neighbours will come banging at our door 😁 still, looking good in those shades 😎 as for that mysterious blue tool, it is break pad alignment tool. I was thinking to get one like that, just in case when I have stubborn new pads, that keep rubbing. That bike looks like a sweet deal for some XC action. Been busy lately, so missed few videos, but I got to binge then. Glad you're OK after that crash. First carbon bars you smashed?

  3. That bike is well specced for the money, shame the fork has that reverse crown! 😂

Mail time was epic, some awesome stuff there.

Great video, take care guys 😎🍻👍

  4. 16:00 I have a tool like this, it's a brake tool, but mine is a purple and says Hayes Feel'R Gage Caliper alignment tool.
tip is to separate the pads and pistons.
the shims are to is to have between rotor and pads.
the dummy disk is of course to have there instead of a real disk, if doing a bleed.
Great you got this tool now. I don't know if it's designed by Hayes, or if Hayes just rebranded this tool.

  5. 19:49 Telling how it is.
If you don't have a vise yet, you can put the fork in the repair stand, just make sure the saw guide is attached to the part you are not cutting off, then it won't fall out.
I've done this on several forks.

  8. Cool looking fork on that bike, never heard of the bike branding before. Shame the threads on the air fork are messed up. The epic mailtime is getting better and better and the Wolfman Dyno makes my day 🤣🦥

  10. as a maintenance engineer I have one worry….
Triangles are one of the strongest shapes in our little reality… those rear arms are… well not triangles…. I'd like to know what that good ol soft alloy behaves like with a few decent drops to flat…
In 'modern' terms… that's a Loooong stem… maybe because it's a small frame…. but if that's the reason.. I would rather switch to a medium with a shorter stem… fine on a road bike but on an MTB you'd start to feel your arms swinging round to turn those tight switchbacks… I'd be sticking Raxman's stem on or upping a frame size…

Glasses… If you haven't yet… get a cheap pair of amber safety glasses and see what happens when you transfer from sunny open areas into a forest/dark area.
No need for anything special… I ride a $7 pair and they are worth more than their weight in gold for vision in the shade if you don't like the wind/dust in your eyes.

  11. I’ve bought two of these in the past month ( size M) they are AMAZING ! 550.00 you get 1×11 , the s-ride derailment system works flawlessly! It has air shocks which are fantastic, hydraulic brakes , all aluminum frame . I buy it over and over again and again ! You can’t beat it for the price ….. sun and ski had it for 550 the a 10.00 off coupon , so 540.00 !

    Now I did have to buy a different seat , I’m a lil over 250 lbs .

Also at first it wasn’t shifting properly , so I took the spacer off the non drive side of the crank and put it on the drive side , it corrected the shifting issue ! Happy Riding ! Go buy it NOW !

Oh mine came with CST PATROL TIRES much much better than CST jack rabbit !

  12. Just picked up a medium Elleven M1 1×11 today. Love it! 6'0" and 33.5" inseam. Perfect size. Large too tall. Gonna put on a 30° stem, 5" rise handlebars, cushier grips and seat. And just like that, I've got the perfect do all xc/hybrid that's good at light trails and pavement.
It was great that it came with the option of choosing CST Patrol or the Jack Rabbit tires. I chose Jack Rabbit cuz they look like they are better suited for pavement, which is what I'll ride most of the time.

  13. I bought two of these bikes from Sun and Ski about a month ago. My son and I are very new riders for the most part. I rode back in the early 90s. We decided to get back into riding and originally hit some local trails with my old 93 Diamondback and a 2010 Gary Fisher. I went to Sun and Ski to buy some tubes and looked at their bike lines. They had this E11even mode for 649 at the time and bought two. My skill level is limited but so far we like them a lot. Compared to our old bikes this 29er with disc brakes and the air fork blow away my old Rockshox Quadra fork. When I spoke to the bike tech at the store he told me they carried this brand to have bikes in stock when all the other manufacturers had trouble with inventory. Now the other brands are showing back up, Sun and Ski has to clear these out due to contract obligations to the big boy brands. We are very happy with these bikes. We almost bought two Giant Talon 4s but I think this bike is better equipped. You slap another brand on that down tube and you are easily paying 900+.

  14. The blue took is for aligning disc brake calipers. With the caliper just loose enough to move around, slide the ‘feeler gauges’ on either side of the rotor between it and the pads. Squeeze the brake lever and theoretically it will center the brake caliper on the disc.

That said, it’s not necessary on dual piston brakes, but it’s great for single piston mechanical brakes or if you’re unfortunate enough to get a set of old Hayes Sole brakes.

  15. I like everything about this bike except it's 70.5 degree hta. this would be a great xc hardtail, but that's all it can be with its geo. the mongoose ardor is cheaper, upgradeable, and has a 66 deg hta. for almost 200$ cheaper I'll take the better geo and upgrade.

  16. With the recurring problems with the fork pressure nozzle threads, it might not be a bad idea to buy a thread tap to fix them when this comes up. You probably would want to either use compressed air or vacuum to try to remove and debris after chasing the threads so as not to contaminate the internal parts of the forks (if this is even possible at all). Also, wear safety glasses or a face shield when screwing around with metal shavings haha. Cheers!
